They are your favorite company? I would have never guessed.. ;-) Yes I did. Chalk it up to the dizzying pages of hype on this forum and me having to get up at 4:30AM PST for days on end to get an order in.. Yeah, I totally bought in. Admittedly the dumbest thing I've done in my short seven month vaping career. Lol. Live and learn right? FWIW, I believe Smooth Criminal is beginning to come around and I may actually enjoy it in another week, which would make me happy. Not sure if the others will turn into anything vapable or not. Time will tell. In the mean time I have several orders coming from other venders. It's not really that big a deal.
hahah! You know what's up. I guess we could call you a fall guy. LOL. Yeah, I can show you something...give me a second...
THis post was from around this time last year when I first got into Ahlusion:
This just in...
I got my Ahlusion order in and something is off. I have been in talks with Wlad all day and he suspects that somehow there was an error in the processing of the tobaccos and they possibly didn't get cured for the necessary amount of time. I am getting a weird fume from the juice that wasn't there in the first batch; the tobacco is quiet and behind that mysterious, off-putting smell/taste. Does it suck for me to be in this situation? Well, it depends on how you look at it. Wlad has not said what some vendors would say, like "Sorry kid, I don't know what to tell ya'." We are working on a fix, and while I am not asking for my money back, I have no doubts that he will get me squared away--he's that kind of guy. The most important part of this experience is that he believes me.
...
p.s. It was very hard for me to write this as I have championed Ahlusion (and will continue), but in the spirit of honesty, I had to tell it like it T-I-S.
As it turns out, this particular batch was off and he did right it. But that was when things were changing over to a new system and something slipped through the cracks. There is another post somewhere where I said Smooth Criminal smelled like a fresh car tire (or something like that) in the beginning. I PIFed it and Peachy Criminal so damn fast it wasn't even funny. I seriously was like, YUCK! But, I kept a small sample (as I always do when I PIF). Man, a month or so later I smelled that juice and I just about cried. Why? Not because it was terrible, but because I immediately knew that I had less than 2 mL of a fantastic liquid. Guess what? The person I PIFed it to didn't like it either (at first) and never got around to trying it again. I got it back

Ahlusion is not arrogant. They know who they are and whom they may be best suited for. Any business should know whom their target audience is and is not. Some may feel it's being presumptuous to be that way, but I think, and I can clearly see, it works as a business model. Halo knows their target audience doesn't care about PG/VG ratios. See what I am getting at?
I have vaped a little liquid in my day (possibly an understatement) and I talk about (maybe) 25% of what I have purchased. I speak on what I know an I am honest with my findings (unless it's so nasty I don't want to reveal to anyone that I actually wasted my money on it. J/K. LOL). I have a decent track record with helping others find good liquids (to them), but it's not always so easy and some people will hate me for some suggestions--it's a toss up.
I understand why new(ish) members sometimes fall for what appears to be, or is, hype, and jump in head firt, but that is never advisable. I probably would've hated them (Ahlusion) if I tried them too early on. Yes. Even liquids can be for the more advanced user...sometimes. I cut my teeth on SafeCig, JV, Ms.T's, V4L, V2, Dekang-like liquids (and many others) all before I had BWB's RY4. That was the turning point. I had no idea what steeping was or anything like that (nor would I have believed it). I thought nasty stayed nasty. Sometimes it does, but you only know by giving it time.
It's easy to not point the finger at others for your loss of money, but I have also seen those same blame-fingers turned into thankful-hugs after the dust, err, liquid settled.
