They are your favorite company? I would have never guessed.. ;-) Yes I did. Chalk it up to the dizzying pages of hype on this forum and me having to get up at 4:30AM PST for days on end to get an order in.. Yeah, I totally bought in. Admittedly the dumbest thing I've done in my short seven month vaping career. Lol. Live and learn right? FWIW, I believe Smooth Criminal is beginning to come around and I may actually enjoy it in another week, which would make me happy. Not sure if the others will turn into anything vapable or not. Time will tell. In the mean time I have several orders coming from other venders. It's not really that big a deal.

hahah! You know what's up. I guess we could call you a fall guy. LOL. Yeah, I can show you something...give me a second...

THis post was from around this time last year when I first got into Ahlusion:

This just in...

I got my Ahlusion order in and something is off. I have been in talks with Wlad all day and he suspects that somehow there was an error in the processing of the tobaccos and they possibly didn't get cured for the necessary amount of time. I am getting a weird fume from the juice that wasn't there in the first batch; the tobacco is quiet and behind that mysterious, off-putting smell/taste. Does it suck for me to be in this situation? Well, it depends on how you look at it. Wlad has not said what some vendors would say, like "Sorry kid, I don't know what to tell ya'." We are working on a fix, and while I am not asking for my money back, I have no doubts that he will get me squared away--he's that kind of guy. The most important part of this experience is that he believes me.

...

p.s. It was very hard for me to write this as I have championed Ahlusion (and will continue), but in the spirit of honesty, I had to tell it like it T-I-S.

As it turns out, this particular batch was off and he did right it. But that was when things were changing over to a new system and something slipped through the cracks. There is another post somewhere where I said Smooth Criminal smelled like a fresh car tire (or something like that) in the beginning. I PIFed it and Peachy Criminal so damn fast it wasn't even funny. I seriously was like, YUCK! But, I kept a small sample (as I always do when I PIF). Man, a month or so later I smelled that juice and I just about cried. Why? Not because it was terrible, but because I immediately knew that I had less than 2 mL of a fantastic liquid. Guess what? The person I PIFed it to didn't like it either (at first) and never got around to trying it again. I got it back :sneaky::lol:

Ahlusion is not arrogant. They know who they are and whom they may be best suited for. Any business should know whom their target audience is and is not. Some may feel it's being presumptuous to be that way, but I think, and I can clearly see, it works as a business model. Halo knows their target audience doesn't care about PG/VG ratios. See what I am getting at?

I have vaped a little liquid in my day (possibly an understatement) and I talk about (maybe) 25% of what I have purchased. I speak on what I know an I am honest with my findings (unless it's so nasty I don't want to reveal to anyone that I actually wasted my money on it. J/K. LOL). I have a decent track record with helping others find good liquids (to them), but it's not always so easy and some people will hate me for some suggestions--it's a toss up.

I understand why new(ish) members sometimes fall for what appears to be, or is, hype, and jump in head firt, but that is never advisable. I probably would've hated them (Ahlusion) if I tried them too early on. Yes. Even liquids can be for the more advanced user...sometimes. I cut my teeth on SafeCig, JV, Ms.T's, V4L, V2, Dekang-like liquids (and many others) all before I had BWB's RY4. That was the turning point. I had no idea what steeping was or anything like that (nor would I have believed it). I thought nasty stayed nasty. Sometimes it does, but you only know by giving it time.

It's easy to not point the finger at others for your loss of money, but I have also seen those same blame-fingers turned into thankful-hugs after the dust, err, liquid settled.

I had an experience similar to Mr.Mann with Boba's Bounty and Gorilla Juice: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...eone-who-has-waited-forever.html#post10170826 God, am I glad I didn't dump all of it because those two moved into my A list after a few weeks.

I'd happily buy misterholidayhouse's order if I didn't already have 30ml bottles of most of what he has. But also, I highly discourage any interested lurkers from ever buying 30ml bottles of liquids you haven't yet tasted. That's what the sample sizes are for. Go light, see what works and go from there. Keep in mind too that people recommend things because we love them and want others to share that satisfaction. No one is trying to swindle anyone, it's all legitimate love for these liquids.

Could someone help me understand this? According to their website their juice is intended people "who have been vaping for a while (1 year+). We are NOT a source for "nic fixes"; if you just want e-liquid for the nicotine there are many great vendors and sources for that."

Why would you have to vape for a year before purchasing? Do people not buy their juice for the nic? Is this frowned upon?

LOL are you kidding me? They actually wrote that? Man, I'm really upset that I ordered now. I mean, I'm already pretty upset because the product was not good, but then find out they had the nerve to post that uppity, holier than thou disclaimer... Unreal! Way to set the bar ahlusion. Don't buy unless you have a years experience and/or are looking for a nic fix. Wow. Kinda makes five pawns look like they're peddling swill to the ignorant peasants.

Of course that's probably my inexperience and unrefined palate making that judgment. Rolls eyes.

A text taken out of context is a pretext and the birth of a lie. Read from the source.

"Our products are not for everyone; our main focus is on quality - not quantity. If you have just started vaping or if you are looking for a quick nicotine fix, please consider a generic e-liquid vendor as our e-liquids may not be suited for you."

How is it uppity to acknowledge this? People say all the time that they just want a "nic fix." It says, "Our products are not for everyone," and "please" ..."as our e-liquids may not be suited for you."

There was no mention of "years of experience," but it's easier to read things clearly when your eyes are not trolling.

I actually felt profound relief when I read Ahlusion's About Us page. After 3 1/2 months of vaping and 140+ juices from ECF's more popular juice vendors I had in my possession exactly one juice I loved and could count the ones I truly liked on my hands with fingers left over. It was a delight to find a juice vendor who wasn't arrogant enough to believe that they could be all things to all people and had the confidence and honesty to say so.

Despite the fact that I am surely a top contender for providing the most inarticulate juice feedback, Wlad's emails to me have always been kind, generous and informative without having even the slightest hint of being condescending. The conversations are reminiscent of those with a chef whose greatest joy in life is to please his or her customers and who has so thoroughly mastered their craft as to have the ability to please a myriad of palates without the need to get all huffy about their mad skills.

Not sure if someone can help me please. I love Ahlusion. This is my first time trying their tobacco ejuice. I received Smooth criminal on Friday. It just doesn't taste or smell good. I never tried it before so I can't compare it anything. Is this one of these e juices that needs several weeks to steep?

Smooth Criminal is a juice that definitely benefits from steeping. I like mine right out of the mailbox, but others do not. Tobacco juices will be different than your standard fruit/dessert/drink juices. Smooth Criminal is a great tobacco juice to get your feet wet with, so don't give up on it. The tobacco veterans will post here in response to you at some point, but I would say give SC at least 2 weeks before you decide it's not for you.

Have you read the thread "Natural Tobaccos" yet? If not, I highly recommend that you do, especially if you want to venture into tobacco juices. Some are stronger than others, some are not for the faint of heart. So, this thread will give you an idea of what different juices from different vendors will be like, and what needs long steeping or short steeping.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-liquid-discussion/274904-natural-tobaccos.html

P.S. This is a really long thread. I'm still only about 1/3 of the way through it, but it's very informative.

Thanks for your response flower. I will steep it for 2 weeks and see what happens. Maybe tobacco isn't for me. I will wait and see.

I have an order of Smooth Criminal in the works, and I think it will arrive this week. I will not be surprised if I feel the same way you do. I had given up on chasing the elusive tobacco flavor, until I read so many raves about SC on here. I will give it plenty of time before I give up on this one. Of course, I'll have a little taste when it arrives, just cos flowerpots likes it straight out of the mail ;)

Got my juices on Friday. Sweet Georgia Peach, Cocoa Blend , Strawberry Vanilla Cake. Cocoa Blend and Strawberry I love off the bat no steeping although I am letting Cocoa and Sweet Georgia Peach steep anyway. Sweet Georgia peach was rough when I first tried it in my IGO-w not a bad taste but very strong tobacco however I did load it in my AGA before I put the bottle away to steep. Went to work the next Day with my RSST full of Strawberry Vanilla Cake which is just a great vape came home and picked up my AGA and was surprised Sweet Georgia peach had mellowed out in the tank it sit in for a day really smooth pleasant peach tobacco(Not Peach Flavor) didn't even taste the same at all so I def am going to let it sit for a bit more. Cocoa blend is tobacco with a hint of cocoa( Not Chocolate ) can def taste it though it fused with the Tobacco. Waiting for coupons to try more flavors.

About the Company - Best Packaging job I have seen from any e-liquid vendor. Wait was about a week which I have no complaints about as it written like 3 places on the site that its takes 5 day processing. I didn't know about the Sample with 20 dollar order so emailed and Wlad email me promptly and added it to my order :). To the person that states the have to wake at 0430 am because they are on PST and it closes early. I am in Cali and make mine fine before 9 am. Can't wait to try more from them.

I have an order coming from them today. It will be my first order from ahlusion and I'm a bit excited.

I ordered it on July 30th and was shipped on Saturday. It seems I'm getting it a day early (always nice when that happens).

Ordered Smooth Criminal 24mg 70% vg 30%Pg , Sahara 70% Pg 30%vg 24mg and asked them for a sample of desperado 24mg (I think they did the same mix as Sahara).

Normally I don't order 30ml bottles right away, but with this vendor I figured I would probably at least like it if not love it. And if I loved it , well I would have to camp out in front of the computer in the morning to grab more lol.

Remember what has been said: you may not like those right away, and if that is the case, be prepared to wait. As long as you don't plan on giving up vaping anytime soon, you'll still need liquid weeks from now--revel in the fact that you'll have some for then.

When I buy certain flavors, they are meant for a month or two in advance. I am currently sitting pretty for October, and vaping now on what I bought in May/June. LOL

Out of those, Sahara (for me) is the one I like right away.

I've actually ordered 60ml bottles from Ahlusion based on faith in the juice maker. So far four out of five were winners. I can't think of another vendor that I'd blindly order a 60ml bottle from.

You have to keep in mind that no liquid tastes like a burning cigarette, and Smooth Criminal certainly doesn't try to. In fact the most popular of all so-called tobacco blends taste nothing at all like cigarettes: AVE's Boba's Bounty, HHV's Dragon Fire, Halo's Tribeca (to name a few) are not exceptions. They taste far better than burning cigarettes but if you're expecting a stinkie, you'll prevent yourself from appreciating the superior aspects of the tobacco blends you try.

I love the three aromatics I've tried but haven;t had the cocoa blend. Please follow up with impressions as it continues to steep. I'm also interested in the Blue Grass Burley and Vurley. Actually any I haven't tried yet (Georgia Peach, Smokin Cherries, and Devil Dog I have on hand). What are the others like?

Cocoa Blend was a huge surprise for me. I didn't think I'd like it because I've had a lot of bad chocolate vapes, but it's cocoa not chocolate. Tez let me try some of his and I was pleasantly surprised...and promptly ordered a bottle. It's similar to the other flavored aromatics -- excellent tobacco taste complemented by a secondary flavor.

Vurley is a little bit different than the other flavored aromatics. The secondary flavor is much stronger, which I wasn't expecting. However, the blend is perfect -- tasty burly flavor and a bright/sweet vanilla. It's my second- or third-favorite aromatic depending on what day of the week you ask me.

Blue Grass Burley is my favorite tobacco e-liquid out there. LOVE it!
