Please. I can't bring myself to be offended when someone else, especially stranger, isn't feeling a flavor I like. Strikes me a little like being concerned with what another couple does and doesn't do in their bedroom. And I don't bother with the ubiquitous "taste is subjective" apology, because we're all allegedly adults and should understand that without having to say as much every time we speak, whether we're saying something positive or negative. So, let's look at your accusations one by one shall we?
Show me where I said I was tricked into anything, let alone by Ahlusion itself. To suggest that the aromatics sound like something I should like, and that are tirelessly promoted by a self-championing, so-called true tobacco connoisseur isn't to say there's trickery afoot. I wanted to love them like you do. I sure as hell didn't buy them in order to dump on 'em or to engage in a puerile variety of a brand-loyalty argument that plagues videogame message boards (and, to my disappointment, that I'm discovering exists even on forums dedicated to
vaping of all things). The fact that you've tried to turn this into HHV-vs-Ahlusion, Sony-vs-Microsoft, Ford-vs-Chevy style feuding speaks volumes. If you had been able to read what I wrote through the stacks of cartoon smoke fuming from your ears you'd have understood that indeed I did (and do!) want a "bold, uncompromising blend." But boldness is in the mouth of the beholder now, isn't it? I explained my love for smoked pipe tobacco and cigars, surely I'm "man" enough, to appreciate a smoke juice that can capture some of the same essence. It's just that for me/personally/in my opinion/subjectively -- insert every apology that would come to litter posts on ECF if we actually did need to assure all thin-skinned brand champions on hair triggers that their egos are in no danger when tastes differ -- the aromatics are bold only in their badness. They aren't at all like cigars or pipe tobacco and I don't blame anyone for that. I don't blame my gear ("Duuuuude, you have to be really, really high to understand The Dead, man!"). I don't blame you, because I have no reason to believe that the aromatics aren't actually making magic in your mouth. I don't blame Wlad and Alley. Nor do I blame myself. Blame isn't the issue.
Consider that Ahlusion includes the warning because they're well aware that the aros taste like cigarette slurry to many mouths. (You write that they "warn everyone to stay away.") Consider that you're seeing posts like my previous one so often because aros taste like cigarette slurry to many mouths. Consider that there isn't a conspiracy afoot. Why would I accuse you of conspiratorial thinking? Because... look at you. You actually consider the possibility that a company is raising prices on a product line in order to deter additional sales and punish people who love the product. Companies raise prices when manufacturing, marketing, and/or distribution costs climb or when they want to
associate consumption with status and prestige. I don't believe Ahlusion is doing the latter (at all), but that approach wouldn't be the worst idea seeing as how your very identity seemingly has vested stake in the image of the aromatic vaper.
