It's not a problem with my equipment.. its the juice. Maybe there would be subtle differences with a different atty or build.. but its the heart of the liquid I don't care for. The smell of it is ash. The taste of it is ash. Why would a different atty make it not taste like ash? You honestly don't taste or smell ash? I can't conceive of it.

I think what's going on here is differences in taste buds. Like some people taste soap in cilantro, or ash in the aros...

I've vaped quite a few of the Nets, much thanks to MM and my close proximity to Ahlusion HQ. Ash? I get a slightly different take. To me, it is more like Jason with a chainsaw on my tongue and a squeeze bottle mixture of battery acid, brimstone and Crotte du Diable. YMMV.

Haha, that'll be my order tomorrow; but only 30ml of SC plus the Boba plain. I'm almost, almost, almost thinking of even bumping Desperado up to a bigger size instead of requesting it as a sample..... hmmmm. I just don't want it to transform into amazing at the 3 month mark with only 2ml left to vape lol.

I don't think it's amazing -- not even in the same ballpark as the Criminals. But it is related.

Please. I can't bring myself to be offended when someone else, especially stranger, isn't feeling a flavor I like. Strikes me a little like being concerned with what another couple does and doesn't do in their bedroom. And I don't bother with the ubiquitous "taste is subjective" apology, because we're all allegedly adults and should understand that without having to say as much every time we speak, whether we're saying something positive or negative. So, let's look at your accusations one by one shall we?

Show me where I said I was tricked into anything, let alone by Ahlusion itself. To suggest that the aromatics sound like something I should like, and that are tirelessly promoted by a self-championing, so-called true tobacco connoisseur isn't to say there's trickery afoot. I wanted to love them like you do. I sure as hell didn't buy them in order to dump on 'em or to engage in a puerile variety of a brand-loyalty argument that plagues videogame message boards (and, to my disappointment, that I'm discovering exists even on forums dedicated to vaping of all things). The fact that you've tried to turn this into HHV-vs-Ahlusion, Sony-vs-Microsoft, Ford-vs-Chevy style feuding speaks volumes. If you had been able to read what I wrote through the stacks of cartoon smoke fuming from your ears you'd have understood that indeed I did (and do!) want a "bold, uncompromising blend." But boldness is in the mouth of the beholder now, isn't it? I explained my love for smoked pipe tobacco and cigars, surely I'm "man" enough, to appreciate a smoke juice that can capture some of the same essence. It's just that for me/personally/in my opinion/subjectively -- insert every apology that would come to litter posts on ECF if we actually did need to assure all thin-skinned brand champions on hair triggers that their egos are in no danger when tastes differ -- the aromatics are bold only in their badness. They aren't at all like cigars or pipe tobacco and I don't blame anyone for that. I don't blame my gear ("Duuuuude, you have to be really, really high to understand The Dead, man!"). I don't blame you, because I have no reason to believe that the aromatics aren't actually making magic in your mouth. I don't blame Wlad and Alley. Nor do I blame myself. Blame isn't the issue.

Consider that Ahlusion includes the warning because they're well aware that the aros taste like cigarette slurry to many mouths. (You write that they "warn everyone to stay away.") Consider that you're seeing posts like my previous one so often because aros taste like cigarette slurry to many mouths. Consider that there isn't a conspiracy afoot. Why would I accuse you of conspiratorial thinking? Because... look at you. You actually consider the possibility that a company is raising prices on a product line in order to deter additional sales and punish people who love the product. Companies raise prices when manufacturing, marketing, and/or distribution costs climb or when they want to associate consumption with status and prestige. I don't believe Ahlusion is doing the latter (at all), but that approach wouldn't be the worst idea seeing as how your very identity seemingly has vested stake in the image of the aromatic vaper.

Well, I'm sure not going to respond to each point of this gargantuan screed. I will say that you might reread my post, and tell me where you see cartoon smoke coming from my ears, and then reread this one. My very identity has a stake in the image of the aromatic vaper. . .huh?

You certainly have the right to believe what you choose to, and to express it, and I'm the last person to expect anyone to preface their opinions with "Taste is subjective," or "Of course, that's only my opinion." RPad makes fun of me because I so hate it when people include these silly disclaimers.

But you should expect responses -- especially when you choose hyperbolic language to describe the object of your disdain -- and not be offended when someone who doesn't agree with your very specific descriptions says so.

Of course, taste is subjective. This is only my opinion. YMMV.

Forget a peace pipe, I say we all vape some DK-Tab and have a pow wow. Oh, and I am supplying the Tab! Tab's on me.

Guess who finally converted me to Dekang Tab? YCY! Oh, and thank you, FP, for the AeJ Tab. It's just like Dekang, but somehow enhanced. What's that acronym again? LOL

Converted you? I sent you some as a joke! It isn't as awful as I thought, but I hope the future is Dekang-free for this guy.

So...I finally got to my first order from the mother ship. The hardest part of my first vape of Smooth Criminal was finding some substandard equipment and insuring that I was compliant with the thought that delivery equipment makes a difference. See the pic. It's the best I could do. I really want to fit in.

:)

About 5 hours in the UC. SC is very good. Sweet undertone, balanced with a spiciness. I'm confident that as it continues to steep the spiciness will diminish as the love mix blends together even more. I marvel at how the King of juice was able to balance these two dominant tones. I was expecting something closer to Halo's Southern Classic which I love but this mix is in a different league.

Yeah I haven't been around the forum in a while, been so busy and stocked up on liquids. Anyways, when I go to ahlusion.us it's still saying "A New Ahlusion Coming soon" :(

Are you on FB? If so, contact them either by phone or on the FB and tell them what's up. I don't know if you can place a phone order, but it might not hurt to try.

What are you vaping these days?

Is Smooth Crim the first NET you've had? NET is usually vastly different from synthetic tobacco flavoring (aka arti-baccos, lab-baccos). They don't have much in common and offer two very different taste experiences. No pure NET is going to taste like what Halo's lab flavors taste like, and vice-versa.

I wouldn't say one is superior to the other as that's a matter of personal preference, but they are every bit as different as a candy flavored vape and an authentic fruit flavored vape; and they both offer something the other can't (until you muddy the waters with NET/arti-bacco hybrids).

Many tobacco vapers love either one style or the other, and some like me enjoy NETs and artis. NETs make up the foundation of my vaping though these days, while synthetic/lab tobaccos play a side role like desserts, fruits, etc.

Good call, I'll definitely do that. I ventured out and tried kick bass vapor, alice in vapeland, backwoods brew, and highbrow. None beat Ahlusion in my book. However, I've really been enjoying KBV's caramel cookie, troll bridge cookie, and maple frosted rolls. Alice's B&W cookie is also top notch.

Man, KBV gave it a good run for a while, but they faded from the forum in any meaningful capacity. AiV never did much for me, but they have a good thing going. BWB will always be around. You know what's funny, a loooong time ago, I was on the cusp of never ordering another liquid from any other vendor but BWB, but as with most things in vaping, things change. I still owe BWB all the credit in the world for introducing me to NETs and what a great mixed liquid should be. Their RY4 (I am still nursing a little over 30 mL) is still in a class of its own. It was (is) awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

@Jerms - much thanks and yep, SC is indeed the very first NET for me. Great details in your post and I can't wait to see what SC is like after a few weeks. Fortunately, I have two 30 ML bottles.

I had a chance to try the Blueberry Vanilla Cake and all I can say is WOW! Even with my substandard equipment /joke

Every flavor note is present and balanced. As advertised on the site! I'm assuming that the "core cake/container mix" is the same as my Strawberry Vanilla Cake which should also be yummy. Just enough extra sweeten to suit my buds.

Umm, count me as lost, but what does the ultrasonic cleaner do? Just curious as to what the purpose of this is.
