I taste it! And I don't like it! But...I will continue to steep, as my bottle is only 17 days old & I'm hoping the flavor/odor of burnt ashes(mixed with mildewy sweat socks) goes away!! Forgive me Ahlusions-for I know not what I say :)

Well, I don't want to worry you, but my Vecchio is probably 3-4 months old now, albeit in a blue glass bottle. I have always noticed the slightly ash taste, which I don't mind. The sweatsock taste is new. Ish. Or it's getting more pronounced as time goes by. The ashy taste I describe is not the ash that the liquid is *supposed* to have, but the kind that you get from a gunked coil. It's just that my coil seems to gunk up almost immediately on Vecchio, vs. only after 8-10mls with other Ahl juices.

So - do you guys want to start an Ahlusion Social group? If so - we have to name moderators for it and apply for it.

I'm not volunteering or anything, but if this thread goes the way of the dodo, I'd have no reason to visit. Keep us posted.
Actually, I *would* volunteer to mod if nobody else is willing. Though I have no idea how much time is needed.

I kinda get the feeling that ECF doesn't support the discussion of Ahlusion since they aren't a registered supplier, and paying whatever fees are involved with being such.

Maybe we can get a social group, but to someone new the the vaping game, they aren't going to browse vendor specific groups looking for suggestions/ideas. This thread drives sales, and ECF wants a cut. That's why we're getting shut down.

Ugh, I'm so jealous. I have 2-3 months to go before my bottle reaches musty perfection. :)

I think we can still have an Ahlusion vendor thread, and whoever the moderators of the social group are could jump in with a link to the social group when posts become more "social" in nature.

I don't mind applying for the social group for us, but I feel that there are other long time members of this thread that would probably be better candidates for moderators. Maybe we can get volunteers that cover all the time zones (ie, anyone who's normally on during the night, anyone who's normally on during the morning/day, etc)

As long as it remains on topic and doesn't evolve into a social thread, it's fine. But when we start seeing "Good morning!" and other off topic posts that have nothing to do with the topic, it's going to get shut down.

Not even close. These mega threads turn into a social gathering with a smattering of the original topic thrown in. If folks want to create a social environment around a particular product, that's why the Social Groups are there. But we've been getting far too many complaints about these mega threads being difficult to find information in.

As I told rabernet. It's perfectly fine to have a thread regarding a particular company. But when it turns into more of a social gathering than a discussion of the product itself, General E-Liquid Discussion is not the place for it.

Well to be fair, if you review OUR thread, you will see that it is mostly on-topic discussion, with a light smattering of other related topics, such as the gear we use to enjoy our Ahlusion liquids. There arent any "good mornings", "good night's", "hey how you doing, how was your day?" types of posts here. So I don't think its fair to lump us in with the other vendor threads, because I think we've done a pretty good job keeping it relevant.

And what does that mean, anyways, that you're getting complaints from people saying that they can't find information due to all the chit-chat? Can I make a complaint about all the stupid question threads that have already been asked 100 billion times and get them shut down?

No I can't. Because, the unwritten rule around here seems to be... If you don't like it, scroll on by. So why shouldn't these naysayers who apparently have a big problem with this thread just do the same?

You know.... I think today might be a good day for me to try Vurley. Due to my love for Vecchio and its noted similarities, coupled with my sudden desire for an aggressive tobacco, I really think Vurley would be a good choice.

Makes sense to me. Go for it!
I've been wanting to try that one too. But I've got VWW higher up on the list...

Thank you for your participation in this thread, the outstanding job that you and your team do, and for creating a marvelous venue which remains a professional operation. When I was younger /lol I owned and ran (for over 7 years) one of the largest Professional affiliate and vendor specific Communities in the world (1K posts per day). It was the dawn of affiliate marketing to be more specific and a number of my members became millionaires as a direct result of the Community which they created and I guided with lots of help. I am well acquainted with the issues that you face and the delicate balancing act. I'm not surprised at the complaints and in some cases they may be justified for other threads and in other cases they are simply part of the "Forum Culture". Please excuse my self promotion but I wanted to provide some context for additional thoughts.

SharonMM is absolutely and emphatically correct. Period. She said:

I would not be a participant or even a lurker in this thread if it morphed into the kind of posts which you are trying to limit. Generally speaking for this thread, if a new poster drops in with an issue, she or he gets a number of answers or thoughts. In spite of the fact that the very same issue has been discussed on multiple pages. That's on topic, courtesy and respect. Go up a few posts EDIT: Insert link: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...446286-ahlusion-e-juice-293.html#post12440960 and you can see exactly what I'm talking about with a great answer from NK to the OP who made his first post with a harsh/burn juice from his first order with AHL.

Respectfully

/Steve

Word; maybe the first post in a thread could be edited to add "sticky information" and updated as needed. That would cut down on 99% of the "Hey, does Ahlusion give samples?" questions. Or people could, just maybe, use the "search thread" function available in both the PC site and app.

I'm quite pleased with how fast orders from Ahlusion have been shipping out lately. Ordered Tuesday night and it shipped yesterday. Looking forward to: Ahlusion Mocha (sweetened), Crisp Melon, Lemon Fairy, Vanilla Black Tea (sweetened) and Zing! (tart lemon).

Anyone know if Lemon Fairy is a tank cracker? Absinthe and straight lemon are usually crackers and Ahlusion is pretty good about noting this but I don't see any warning on Lemon Fairy. Zing! of course says that it's a tank cracker.

I doubt that this thread falls under the mega-thread social threads that are going to be shut down. It's remained largely on-topic the entire time, so I don't think the new ruling will effect this thread.

If I remember right, the people in the Ahl thread before this one (many of which are in this current thread) did apply for a social group, but it was rejected. Something to do with Ahl being a wholesaler (if I'm remembering wrong, someone correct me).

I'd bet that this thread can remain as is though and there's nothing to worry about, as long as it continues to stay mostly on topic.

I've been in the mood for a good fruit cream. I tried strawberry cream and it really wasent my thing. I am leaning towards lemon cream or raspberry cream. Thoughts?

CREAM WARS, GAME ON!

My thoughts: Get Lemon Cream and don't look back.
