With all the discussions about "coconut in Pink Label" I decided to revisit it with a fresh look. I do remember that it tasted like coconut - but somehow -- not quite like coconut.

I took it down to the vape cave, sat back, put on some Mozart, and cleared the brain. Coconut..at first. Yet as I peeled back the flavors What I was finding was more melon in the background. Maybe some honeydew. It now comes across as a very complex blend of flavors. I think my brain was playing tricks on me on what I was tasting. I need more time to figure out what it is. Might need a 60ml bottle of it to figure it out. :vapor:

PL is a whole new vape for me now. :)

Don't get me wrong, VW would work just fine for me, but it would be no different from VV with my vaping style. I'd still be adjusting it all the time. I don't have any problem with VW, it's a great feature, but I have all the mods I need and no desire to buy another just to get VW.

Them thar's words of wisdom. Finding the personal sweet spot is what it's all about -- and it does not apply only to vaping.

Thinking about placing a first time order from ahlusions. What are your top choices that you recommend? I'm thinking Carmel pear black tea, devil dog and smooth criminal so far! How long should they steep? I got some halo juices recently and hated them until they steeped for a week! While I'm asking for advice, I'm looking to pick up a twist or a spinner. What dripping atty and which Cartomizer would you recommend? Mucho thanks

That is another thing about vaping though. You are happy at 9 watts but at 9 watts things are burnt for me. I'm at 8 watts. I have read posts from other people who swear by 6 watts...

I'm with you though, on the Kick wattage settings, NK. I have found very few juices that aren't at their best at my 9 watt setting (and I certainly haven't found any I can't live without). For those, I just throw them on an eGo batt or Twist and crank the volts way down, because they aren't very good on my fixed voltage set-ups either.

Decided to try Ahlusion as I haven't tried a new vendor in awhile and was impressed with everything I saw.

Here's what I ended up ordering:

Smooth Criminal
Caramel Pear Black Tea
Boba Tea w/ caramel
Lemon Lime Breeze
Raspberry Sunset
Apple House Blend
Requested a Strawberry Vanilla Cake sample

How'd I do. Plan on using them in a carto tank with a VMax.

I have some juice I like around 6 watts, and others I like closer to 8, and some in between. I don't think I have anything I can vape above 8 watts though.

I would steer you away from Devil Dog unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure you want a no-holds-barred tobacco (that is not a challenge or reverse psychology). Sometimes I think people are certain they do, until they get it. Have you tried (m)any other extracted tobacco juices? Maybe Want2Vape, GoodeJuice, DarthVaper, Vaperite?

I think Smooth Criminal would satisfy that urge while providing you with a easier pathway to be ushered into natural tobaccos. Caramel Pear Black Tea is another conundrum. While I love absolutely everything you mentioned, I get apprehensive with suggesting juices like that to some, cause (if this makes sense) I think they are advanced juices.

Wlad doesn't sell any 510 attys and I would recommend those before messing with adapters (I hate adapters). Empire Mods sells great 510 attys for cheap but you can only use them at 3.7. (You could get a 306 though.) I don't know anything about the twist and how you know what voltage you're at, but just stay at 3.7v.

Devil Dog doesn't need steeping, but the others will require a cap off 48 hrs steep followed by (IMO) at least a week.

In summation, you can do what you want and order how you wish, but some flavors may give you a skewed perception if you are not used to that level of sophistication. I, by no means, am saying you are not sophisticated, but I went a long time before trying Ahlusion and don't know how much I would've appreciated them without a lot of others to compare them with. Maybe start out with some flavors from Ahlusion that are not as complex. I haven't tried the Grape Vine yet, but I heard it's awesome! Whatever you get, don't truly judge them before (at least) 3 weeks -- the steeping is an evolution of major proportions.

Sounds like a darn good start. :) Please see steeping instructions in Mr. Mann's post above. :)

Speaking of steeping. Oh my is Caramel Pear black tea good now. Been steeping it for about 3 and half weeks.

How different are the two (unsteeped vs steeped)? If you had judged it early on, would you have thought it could be as good as it is now?

p.s. It won't stop getting good!

I would say that early on it was very rough and hard to pick out flavors, now though it has mellowed out so smooth, I can taste more caramel and pear on the inhale and a very smooth black tea with hint of pear on the exhale. Its gonna be a reorder for sure!
