With still being new to vaping and the novelty of it still running strong, I am finding I aint savin much over analogs yet! On my inital order I got X2s, 2 packs of CE3s, 2 packs of tips and 2 bottles of juice (cowboy) and 2 lanyards for my wife and I. Today I ordered a different bottle of juice,(Freedom) 2 sampler packs and another pack of CE3s. Oh well, at least I am off the analogs!

I probably haven't saved a dime since I got my first Volt kit on August 11, 2012. However, I have a ton of juice and I have cartridges, clearos, CE3s and Nanos. Not to mention I actually have 4 big batts and 8 little batts now, the Volt mega case [love it], a lanyard, a PCC and a good looking tray with nice looking containers to organize all my stuff.

I have spent big bucks but I have also saved at least $320 on cigs and should be ahead of the game by Thanksgiving:) I would have saved even more on cigs but I didn't quit immediately. In fact, I still smoke a few cigs every day but I don't think I will buy anymore when these are gone.

I am so thrilled about quitting smoking without hating my life that the money spent has been worth it but the savings on cigs has been very motivating.

You are saving your health.
And I absolutely agree, I'm not saving at all, but that is my choice of how much different devices and juices I want to try.
With my initial starter kit I would have my break-even after a couple weeks - before i came to this site and got too influenced with everybody else and their shiny toys.

You will once you have everything you want. I bought a bunch of stuff at the beginning but now, I really only need juice. Get more into clearos and away from cartos. Clearos last a lot longer and thus requires less to replace. I use x2's with vivi nova and clearos and 78mm with ce3's. The only thing I have had to buy in the last 3 months was $30 of juice.

Clearos and ce3's last as much as 2 months and I rarely clean them. I figure I go through about $30 worth of juice and replacement ce3 and clearos a month and I vape about 5-6ml a day

Even if you don't save anything, it's better than the analogs

Mr. Outlaw- I am curious as to why you prefer the clearos with the X2's over the CE3's?

To the OP, be patient. You will start saving money. I was in the negative for the first 2+ months since I was testing juice and stocking up. But I think I went the past 2 months without buying anything, and that is when my saving's went to the positive.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I've been into vaping for a little over four months. Haven't saved a dime based on my "vaping expenses spreadsheet" versus the "saved" in my signature. But, it is starting to get closer to savings faster. As long as I can resist the urge to keep buying new toys all I really need is fixings for DIY which really holds the costs down. OK, maybe a battery or two along the way as well as some CE3s or whatever, but the major outlay is over so maybe it'll catch up soon, I hope! And as I say this I have to buy another X2 'cause I lost one out in the woods walking the dog today :(

Started vaping in june. I broke even a few weeks ago. I was buying liquid like crazy. Now I diy and am happy. Even better I have cut my vaping back too and go between 0 mg nic and 6 mg. I even went an evening without a smoke or vaping and managed not to end up sleeping on the couch. That night was after a very stressful day at work.

Pretty much ditto what everyone else has said here. I've been vaping for over 3 years, so I hardly spend anything compared to what I spent on a PAD habit. I like to try new juices, and sometimes I will try out the latest delivery system. But other than that, there's hardly any outlay. I just invested in 2 new batteries -- must have had 20 or so that wouldn't hold a charge anymore, so I finally threw them out. My average monthly vaping expense is about 25% of what I used to spend on cigarettes. But better than that, I can breathe easier, don't smell like a dirty ashtray, and no longer have cigarette burns (on me or the furniture).

So congrats for getting off the analogs. And vape on. :vapor:

You're not seeing any savings in terms of money spent but the REAL savings that you are creating is in YOUR LIFE, which isn't quite so easy to see at this early stage in moving away from analogs...

The "cost saving curve" is shaped sort of oddly for e-cigs. There is a small cost spike (over analogs) the first few weeks. Then, generally you see a HUGE spike in cost after you realize just how AWESOME they are, and you buy more accessories, upgrades, and mods.

Eventually, the excitement and novelty wears off for most folks, and they fall into a routine and the costs level off, and THAT is when you start to see the REAL cost savings over analogs.

However, like other "hobbies" that involve a lot of options, upgrades and continuous technological development (for instance, high-end audio gear) some of us will become "vapophiles" and will spend the rest of our lives pursuing that ever-elusive "perfect vape" and will happily spend hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars over the next several decades trying to reach vaping nirvana...

I went through the same thing with my stereo--and didn't stop until I had Martin Logan speakers in all 5 positions of my 5.1 setup, a MONSTEROUS Velodyne subwoofer, enough Carver amplifiers to arc weld a battleship with, a Krell preamp, cables that cost more than wiring on the Space Shuttle and a hand-modded turntable that had more money in it than some people's cars. But eventually I got to the point where I was VERY happy with the sound of my rig, and I decided it was time to just sit back and enjoy it.

Hopefully I won't get quite so obsessive with my e-cig hobby. Bu tth efirst two weeks for me do not bode well--I'm only about 12 days into using e-cigs (and not a SINGLE analog fired up--or even tempted to do so!) and already I've got a box full of 901 stuff, a VV mod coming in the mail this week, and over a dozen bottles of juice (with more coming in the mail).

In the last two weeks, I've spent nearly as much on ecigs stuff as I would have spent on analogs in 3 months. But I've NOW got enough gear to keep me occupied and satisfied for MONTHS, and th emost important part is that every day that I don't smoke an analog is literally turning back the clock on my untimely tobacco-related demise. I can feel my body getting more healthy every day, and THAT is something you can't put a "dollars and cents" price tag on, my friend.

Vape to live--just don't gorget to get out there and LIVE!!!

Unfortunately for me i spend way more. Cigs are cheap here in Missouri I can go get a carton of my old cigs for about $30 to $35 which would last me about 15 days or $60 to $70 per months. I easily spend $100 per month or more on ecigs stuff.

I agree with you 100% on this one.
