anyone got any recommendations for air flow controllers?
having some tight draw issues with the provari if it is sitting flush.
heard the same happens with the aspire bdc.

heard some of these have damaged threading or shorted attys before.
thanks in advance

What version do you have? Some of have noticed, at least on the mini, that the connection of the 2.5 sits a tiny(!) bit higher than on the 2.0. I have been trying out an Aspire. The draw is a bit tight on the 2.5 and a little more noticeable on the 2.0. It doesn't bother me, but someone else might not like it.

ETA: I haven't used an airflow controller, since the problems I have had (with Protanks) were with draws that were too airy. I use another fix to restrict airflow.

I don't know, if you found what you were looking for or not, but I have used these before, and they work fine. They are just chrome plated brass, so they can break if dropped, but for just $2.99 each, I bought about 6 of them.

Tank Airflow Controller

using the mini v2.5
thanks just checked the hippo out.
i'll see if i can find anything cheaper.
if not i'll probably get it.

I have read about this problem, over and over, about the pro-tank 2, I thought this would solve the problem. From what I have read, on the new base, (or end cap) they put the air holes to low, I am not sure if the original pro-tank 1 base is still available, but they solve the problem.
There is another option, Cig techs makes a stainless steel replacement end cap, ( or base ) where the air hole is much higher.

Tatroe tank bottom cap

I can't get the airflow controller to work with my K101 and Protank II. if I sit the air flow controller flush mount, the protank either sits way to high to use the restricter ring, or completely blocks airflow (due to compressing the insulator pin).

PITA. At least it was a cheap experiment :)

I use the Tatroe caps and they work great; I have 10. Not only do you not get the airy whistle the stock bases had- at least for me, but you can screw the tank down flush without restricting the air flow. They have a deep groove at the bottom leading to a single air hole. They also won't break off in a ProVari.

I totally agree, they work great. Those pics really show, what I was trying to describe. Thanks for posting them, my camera sucks, I can't do closeup shots like that.

so i got myself the hippo v2.
works great with my pt2.
however, when i screw on the aspire bdc, i get the OP error

damn!

The Hippo V2 has an adjustable pin... A small screwdriver should do the trick for you. :)

The pin in the Aspire can come pushed-up too far from the factory. Gently pry the pin down almost flush if needed.

hey thanks that works.
not sure how to adjust the pin on the hippo but i did it on the aspire.

any1 find the aspire flavour very muted and gives off a metallic taste?
i cleaned the heads and stuff yesterday and am using it for the first time for the past hour or so.
pt2 seems to give a much better flavour

There is a small slot for a screwdriver right on top of the Hippo's pin. Just turn it to raise / lower the pin..

The Aspire is the best clearo tank I've used to date. It gives me a vape quality close to my high-end stuff. I always prime the heads with 3-4 drops of juice before installing, and take a couple of pulls without pressing the power button before firing one for the first time.

Also watch your voltage.. Especially on the 1.8 ohm heads. I find the Aspire heads to work better for me at a lower voltage in both resistances offered. There are also old version heads still floating around. The latest version has 2 holes.. The old has 4.
