. Air shipment of batteries from china is currently halted between 1-5 sept as per DHL . does that mean we get more genuine batteries now or prices will go up?
----------------------------------------

Please be advised that the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and the Beijing government have announced a full Dangerous Goods embargo for the period 1st - 5th September 2015.

This is due to a week-long official state celebration in Beijing.

Regrettably this will temporarily affect our ability to pick-up all types of Lithium Battery Section II shipments - for Import into or transiting Beijing from 26 August to 04 September 2015.

Lithium battery/cell which are in compliance with Section II have the following specifications:

Cell

Battery

Lithium Ion

Power not for than 20Wh per cell

Power not for than 100Wh per battery

Lithium metal

Weight of Lithium not more than 1g per cell

Weight of Lithium not more than 2g per battery

If the specification exceeds the above mentioned, article will be regulated as Full Dangerous Goods.

Please Note: No other destinations in China are affected

We apologize for any inconvenience caused during this time and will endeavor to keep you updated.

Yours sincerely,

The DHL Express Sub-Saharan African Team
