separate batteries from mods and put all mods in a ziplock baggy clearly marked "electronic nicotine vaporizers" just in case your storage room bag is pulled aside for inspection. For your carry-on bag, if you must take an e-cigarette, your BEST bet would be to take a cig-alike. If you do not own a cig-alike, take an ego. Most airports are set up where you can drop off your storage room bag in clear site of the security checkpoint. You may want to have the person dropping you off wait while you go and ask the people at the security checkpoint if you can bring the e-cig you plan to carry on, on the plane. Your absolute worse case senario would be checking in your storage room bag, then going through the checkpoint only to be checked by an ....... that decides you can't bring your e-cig past the checkpoint. This will either result in a supervisor coming over to OK your PV/juice as carry on, OR, another ...... will come over, confirming that they dont want it going on the plane with you. In that case, you'll need to go back to the storage luggage desk and ask them if they can recover your large bag. If they say you cannot and your ride is already on the highway you might as well hand your PV to someone smoking outside. Many people have had NO problem bringing cig alikes onboard, including me. Others have had NO problem taking mods aboard. I haven't tried that because I fear the worst case scenario where they will say no and my other luggage will be checked in and I'll be stuck without what I wanted to take on board. But I have no fear of taking a cig-alike because most, or all checkpoint workers should know what an e-cig is by now. I mean you may go through a small hassle if your taking a cig-alike or ego up there and they happen to see it, but a black Reo looks like a detonation remote, and a GG looks like a classic pipe bomb. lol. Your mods are completely safe if they are separated from the batteries and put in a clearly marked zip lock bag in your big bag.

I have taken ego's on international flights 4 times and never had a problem. Make sure the juice is in the baggie of liquids. TSA pretty much knows ecigs by now and have heard of them. I probably wouldn't try taking a big one but Ego's go through just fine and as long as it is here in the USA or a country where they are legal there is no problem.

Ive flown internationally about a half dozen times and within the states many more than that, never had a problem or a strange look going through security.
Carry on liquids including tanks go in quart size liquid bag. Ego's or similar size battery's can be put in one of those small cases left open and placed in the bin, Ive flown many times with a 650 mah ego or a 1300 mah go go in my shirt pocket, remove from pocket place in bin return to shirt pocket after clearing security. Make sure all pv's are turned off going through security and aboard the plane.
Apv/mod battery's need to be in plastic case that keeps them separated so they cant touch. Apv/mod tubes remove the end cap so it is easy to tell there is nothing inside. Leave the battery tubes at home that have a big red button with the words 'fire', 'detonate', 'blast off', 'engage' on the body.

I worked at a restaurant inside the terminal at DFW airport for the majority of last year, so I had to go through security every single day to get to work. Just make sure your liquids are seperated, and batteries are out. My bag was pulled about one time in five to check it out, but just be very up front and cooperative with them and let them know it is an electronic cigarette, and they will examine it and let it pass. Most of the ones they see come through are the cheapy ones that look like cigarettes, so don't be surprised if they are impressed by it ;).

It is allowed to vape inside the terminal, but just understand that if you are asked to put it away due to someone complaining, that it is a privilege, not a right, to fly. The airline reserves the right to ask you to do whatever they want, and to not let you fly, so just keep calm, and cooperate, and you will be fine. Also, if you run into problems just walking down the concourse, step into a restaurant while waiting on your flight, as they are much more understanding.

When it comes to the actual flight, let etiquette be your guide. If you are sitting next to a mother and her children, get up and go to the lavatory for a couple of puffs, then come back. If you are around people you know, or that don't mind, simply let the flight attendant know that it is an ecig, and blow the vapor either down your shirt, or towards the floor, so as not bug the other passengers. But, once again, if asked to stop, please do so, without any fuss.

This past week I flew round trip Dallas to Orlando with one large and one smallish PV and six Li-Ion Batteries. I had wrapped each batt in thin bubble wrap inside a soft zippered case which I opened before I placed it in the bin for inspection. The PV's were in a plain plastic baggie. No problems at either airport. But the TSA guy at DFW had a fit because I'd forgotten to remove a silk scarf from my neck

its pretty easy to stealth vape anywhere (not that realistically there should be any reason to hide..anyways..) just take a puff like youre covering a cough with your fist, device in hand, and hold it in your lungs til the vapor is gone, which happens a lot quicker than one would think..about 5 seconds and my 100% VG is without a trace

Interesting people are taking the batteries out. I've flown maybe 5 round trips since I've started vaping. Mostly domestic, but one trip to/from Mexico and one to/from the UK. I've never removed my batteries and haven't been asked to remove them. I put the liquid in my liquid baggie and my pv with my phone/belt/change/etc.

I've only been asked what it was once.

That was very informative! Thank you

I have taken mine all over the country as well as overseas to France. I pack most of my liquids in my luggage and take one or two small 10ml bottles in my carry on. Just put it in a plastic bag like your other liquids and run it though. I've never had an issue. When you vape on the the plane, point the air vent towards your face and exhale slowly out of your nose. If you hold it in longer very little vapor will come out. There are videos on Youtube showing techniques for producing little of know vapor on exhale. As long as you are not obnoxious and obovious with clouds of vapor, most people will ignore you but when they ask you what you are doing, educate them on vaping and let them know it's legal and non-toxic. One lady was really upset and told me smoking was not allowed and I said I know.."its vapor just like the steam coming off your coffe" "do you smell smoke?" She realized there was no smell then left me alone but it's a rare encounter and it's more and more common to see other vapers out there. I sat next to one on my last flight and we vaped away!
