I vaped on my last trip from Minneapolis to Jamaica. A lady in her mid 50's who was a smoker asked me what it was and was pretty jealous when I explained it to her. I did notice in the airplane magazine it said e-cig's were not allowed on the plane but it didn't stop me, as far as the airports go I didn't try to hide it and no airport employee's questioned me.
