If you have any good juice recipes you can share them with your fellow alabamians here. If you can, keep it to percentages, and put the flavor's brand i.e. FA (flavour art) TFA (the flavor apprentice) TPA (the perfumers apprentice) CAP (Capella's) FW (flavor west) TP(tasty puff) LA (LorAnn) VZ (vaping Zone). If you have any suggestions for additions or subtractions to taste post that as well. Or suggested watts or voltage/ohms. Also if you have a time of day you particularly enjoy it or if it complements a meal or beverage you should list that too. Please feel no need to elaborate this much, but it can't hurt :D.Let's get to mixing!

Squirrel's Tail tobacco:
4% Burley FA
0.5% pecan TFA
0.5% vanillin TFA
1% tobacco blend TFA
3% 7Leaves Ultimate FA

Hot steep, let sit for a week, then take the cap AND nipple off. Let it breathe for a minute and cap it up and shake shake shake. Wait one more week, shake and vape. Hope you like it. You can always add a bit more vanillin or pecan if you want more of those notes. Add alittle vape wizard if the flavor is too sharp, but it should be smooth as silk. Happy mixing!

Sammy, how do you do a hot steep?

And please, everyone, if you're planning to DIY, especially if you're planning to use 100mg/ml nicotine, read the safety stickies from the DIY subforum.

take the extra time and make sure you know what you're mixing and that your calculations are correct :)

Thanks CES, safety first. I do a hot steep by heating water in a kettle, not boiling but hot enough where it is uncomfortable to wet your finger. Others run hot water from the tap, but my water heater doesn't heat water hot enough. Then I use either a shot glass or a mug with a rag stuffed in the bottom and put the juice IN THE BOTTLE in the hot water with the.cap on tight. The goal is to to not let water reach the lid. Let it go for about a half hour in the hot water and shake it for a minute. Then your done, let it sit as you see fit. I suggest a week at least if it is a tobacco flavor.

will do sir, funny you should mention mandrin mint... i'm actually working on that as well.
I'll eventually get all of the Camel blends down. The Chocolate mint was easy (just myfreedomsmokes double chocolate (30% of volume) and their double mint (20% of volume) with any tobacco base you prefer (50% of volume). Though that one was relatively simple.

But once i get home and mix a batch of the stinger up i'll let you know. I have about 30ish flavors waiting on me at home now, so i can come up with something. Then the trick will be finding a way to make it myself i guess with DIY for more exact tastes.
Thanks for the help

oh no no no, Try v4l wowboy. Camel Dark Mint in a bottle. it is delish, or at least it was a year ago. That is what got me off the ciggies. There is a definite tobacco element needed. once your taste buds come back you will be chasing different flavors. I assume you just got off of analogs by your join date is that correct?

Yeah, I just saw that last night actually, REEALY good prices, and I hear that their nic/vg/pg is top notch as well. haven't heard much about their flavors, but I think I heard that they are TPA. Doesn't matter to me, Vaping Zone has won my allegiance for flavoring.

The next time I need nic/vg I will be giving wizard labs a go :)

I have wanted to try the "create your own" at ECBlend.

I thought about it a minute and came up with one but have not had the "Guts" to order it yet.
Being an Monty Python fan, I thought to myself wouldn't it be neat to do one of the "Whizzo Quality assortment of chocolates" flavors "Crunchy Frog"

Using the Create Your Own at ECBlend (you can only mix 4 flavors) I came up with :

40% Chocolate Hazelnut
30% Raspberry
20%Maple
10% Honey
Plus the option to "Make it sour"

Would this put you in mind of a chocolate covered "Crunchy Frog"?
"If they took the bones out it wouldn't be crunchy now would it"

Please feel free to suggest changes to make it better or worse.

a crunchy frog would taste like chocolate covered chicken... but if you are just going for a fun flavor that is a good one, except the sour maybe, sour maple and honey just sounds awful to me. but it could be good too, never tried it.. lol.
I have always thought frog tasted like chicken with the texture of fish.
