Alarming Question

I am looking forward to ordering my first e-cig next week, but I just found an alarming article. In the article it states that the FDA will be trying to stop all imports untill they can figure out the health risks of e-cigs. I had planned to order from outside the US because of the drastic cost difference... But now I'm somewhat concerned that my package will be held at customs.
Does anyone have any insight into this?

There has been lots of talk, so far all shipments are getting in, some have been stopped. buy from a supplier in your country and you should be ok.

ok, this i don't understand. real cigarettes have gone for over a century unregulated. how come they want to regulate these?

Mine got through in 8 days from HK. I ordered it on the 13th of march and i got here yesterday.

I'm not seeing anything here in the states.. seems everyone is "Out Of Stock".
I've ordered stuff from overseas before and it got through customs, but I don't feel like dropping a hundred or more on a starter kit and have it get sent back.

Relentless, I wouldn't worry about it. that article is from 3/13 , I placed an order from china on 3/18 and it arrived safe and sound 3/20

Oh it's obviously all about the money. I'm new to vaping but not to the idiocy of government. E-Cigs were not being taxed as enormously as government knows it can.

If it were to happen it would be the juice that would be stopped and not released and that's usually only for bulk orders that might look suspicious. Mechanical parts like atomizers/batteries will get through no problem.

Agreed 100%.

I don't think they can stop the hardware because it could be used for "other" applications. I think the Juice will the be the issue in the future not the hardware.
