I have been using the same vivi novas for 7 months now. I wash out the tank after 2 refills with hot water and dry burn each time. I have rebuilt my heads twice because of the wicks degrading. I use a high mix of pg which is anti-bacterial and do not think iso alcohol is needed or should be used. I save the vodka for me.

So you haven't had any issues dry-burning? I watched some vids about cleaning clearomizers and most of them suggested a good wash and dry burn. Seemed legit, but then I've read several posts where folks were saying it wasn't working well for them.

7 months out of a Vivi Nova...hmm, that's pretty good I'd say. I'll experiment with that and see how my results turn out.

I always clean then dryburn while the wick is damp. Keep at it until all the coils are red and visible. I let the head cool then rinse and set aside to dry out. I have yet to pop a coil but I always dry burn around 3.7v. The wicks will eventually degrade and need to be replaced. I have several tanks in rotation but usually use the mega. For me it's just easier to fill.

Fine, fine. But I'm buying the cheapest, foulest strongest vodka I can find! Vodka that even I would think twice about drinking. Maybe. I dunno, I'm almost as bad a robot as Bender when it comes to my booze.

Ahh yeah, well I think I've mentioned my affinity for bourbon on this site, I found that the Kentucky bourbon flavored juice does work well with... um, my bourbon. I'd never use my brand to clean anything other than my throat. Vodka? Scotch? who cares. It's all rubbing alcohol. :toast:
