Maybe I can get one of the local PO's to let me check that out on theirs, don't think the lab girls will fall for the in the name of research line as their machine is alot more expensive than the hand held's the police use.

I didn't think there would be any danger of failing a breathalyser from vaping but stranger things have happened. So I am glad someone tested it.

Yes stranger things have happened! Perhaps the liquorice will test positive.

Well I know those ones in your car are set off by just about anything (perfume, breath spray, etc.....) so those may be a bit touchy, but to be considered legally intoxicated nah

whilst we're on the subject . Anyone know if anything shows up in a urine drug and alcohol test. Don't ask me what the test it checking for specifically. Just wondering if any one has been tested whilst vaping in that kind of manner.

Actually I do remember an employment drug test saying it would test for nicotine and alcohol. I was smoking analogs at the time, and still got the job, but I found it a bit odd that it would be included in the test.

The test wouldn't be official, it's not FDA approved for testing for nicotine content due to the vaping.

Initial results from 9 participants in blood nicotine level tests by Ruyan show that five minutes vaping of 16mg eliquid gives about a tenth of the blood nicotine level as smoking a cigarette.

Thank you Kate, very interesting . Just more proof that vaping is better than smoking.
I believe there is more research and statistics out there then the FDA wants anyone know.
I understand the FDA wants research and test results on long term effects of nicotine. But what other nicotine product have done long testing and have results on long term effects?

This is an odd question, but is there a possibility of failing a breathalyzer test due to using an electronic cigarette as the liquid contains small amounts of alcohol?

Well, try to distract the cop for a little while, any residual alcohol will dissapate within a few seconds. They usually don't let you smoke after you are stopped, so go along with that! Unless you are saturated, I don't think it will pick up any on your breath, ok? Do a lot of heavy breathing till he gets out the BA, that will help. But if you had a couple beers already or Drank the e-juice, I don't have much hope the above instruction will help a lot. It was sort of an odd question. Anyway, the alochol that is detected by the BA comes from normal respiration as it carries itself from your vascular system into your lungs and out your mouth. In that case, you are screwed. Unless you inhale your beer, in which case he/she would take you to a safe place anyway.
