Alcohol for cleaning heads

Alcohol has been recommended for cleaning heads etc.
Can someone please suggest what form to use.
I've come across the following suggestions.
grain alcohol
rubbing alcohol
surgical spirits
isopropyl alcohol

Personally, and I'm not saying it's right or wrong, I wouldn't use anything non-potable. So I use pure grain alcohol or cheap unflavored vodka.

I concur with using only potables. Cheap vodka is what I have.

I use 90% isopropyl alcohol and let them soak overnight. Unless you plan to drink it afterwards, it doesn't matter if it's potable. Just give it a good rinse after soaking.

99% isopropyl is what I use. Rinse well and then dry burn. If it's a light juice sometimes I'll just rinse with water and then dry burn.

How many cleaning agents do you use everyday on stuff you eat off of? Granted, you don't vape em. But isopropyl alcohol evaporates away cleanly. I use it on occasion as it's inexpensive and getting PGA is harder and more $$$$.

Others use vodka. Some use lemon jucie and vinegar and denture cleaners too. (I know not alcohol so OT)

I mostly just use hot water.

Just make sure the ingredients say isopropyl alcohol (90+ %) and distilled water AND THAT'S ALL it says. And blow it out and dry it thoroughly.

P.S. Alcohol (and the acids like vinegar too) will remove paint from the outside of a standard atomizer.... replacable heads aren't painted tho so no worries.

I drink the india pale ale while soaking heads in iso.

Forgot to mention, everclear is a great cleaner too if you happen to live in a state where it's legal to sell booze that strong.

lol here in the wafer fab Im at we've always referred to Isopropal Alcohol as IPA. Habit.
