I don't know, when they can't meet a 12 business day deadline they set themselves something is wrong. 12 business days. I am not one to complain alot but that's a little crazy. If I was verified I would sell the sampler I have coming without trying it. Even if I like their juices I would not buy again unless they got that under control. Just saying.

You act like you've ordered from McDonalds. Just saying.

He's paying good money for a product that he knows has a wait time, but then the company can't even meet it's own deadlines. I don't see his reaction as an over reaction at all. Its a comfort level really, not knowing if your juice will come this week or a month from now, it can leave some people uneasy.

Back onto topic, I received my AiV order earlier this week, all three 60ml bottles needed more steeping time, and are still caps off another night. The 30ml bottles smelled good with the exception of one, so like the 60ml bottles caps off again tonight. I won't bother to get into them too much for the next few days, but have enjoyed what I've tried so far. One though, has drawn me in from the sampler, cherry blossom, and I cannot wait until I get that order in, maybe next week, or the week after, who am I kidding it will get here whenever it gets here. Not very comforting, but I guess there's no other way around it for the time being.

Oh my! So happy I spent way to much time reading these forums!! I initially bought a little bit of everything sampler but also included big bottles of Twas Brillig and Lemon Loves Cake because those were the two I figured I'd like if AIV was a good as everyone was claiming. I'm so impressed right now. I liked them all except Bandersnatch but to be fair I didn't even try it as I know I hate banana. I loved half of them including all the Teas. Now just need to wait until they open again for more big bottles!

I ordered on 3/13 so I still have quite a wait.
It could also be a genius marketing strategy to create hype about your product by pretending to not be able to keep up with demand and only being open for one day.

They didn't hype their own company. I have been ordering from them since before they moved. Someone who is no longer on ecf went crazy hyping them ( not affiliated with them was a fanboy) and it seems everyone decided they just had to have some AiV.
I personally love some of their juice and order when they are open and then go about my time till it gets here, i do use other companies as well that take 12-15 days to process orders.
Just asking that you not blame AiV for the explosion it was not something they started and they can't help that they make a great juice that a lot of people like.

What I don't get is, if they know they're two weeks behind, why don't they close shop for a week or two and then continue taking orders?

They're two weeks behind, yet they continue to take more orders... wouldn't it make more sense to close shop, get their orders caught up and then continue taking orders when they could actually process orders within 5 business days.

It's like someone at work who is swamped as hell, knows it, and tells their boss "Yes, give me more work!!!"

Other than just being 'behind', here's another scenario I thought of.

Calculate the money it would take to do the "juice thing" full time: expenses, stock, supplies, rent, salary, etc..., and whatever you'd like left over for profit/yourself.

Calculate the average total of all orders placed thus far.

Do the math and figure how many orders/week it would take to meet those figures (or just use an actual $ amount cap).

Cap. orders at that level. i.e., when orders total $2,000, close the checkout.

Capping also has the added benefit of increasing 'boutique' appeal. Once you gather a decent following, you're almost guaranteed to meet your cap quota, and hence reducing the amount of time you actually have to spend taking orders and increasing the amount of time you have to fullfill them minus personal time.

It's a win/win.

Some folks will move on, but for those who order from more than one vendor (even if it's just one other) will likely stay and order when they can, and in bulk. You also have the new comers like myself who just happened to log on and place an order without even knowing about the cap, lol. Now that I know about the cap, I'll just wait and place the order then. If I miss out, so be it.

Just a thought. I might try it, just to see :D . Anyone interested in one of three flavors that only come in 18mg? Lol!

(For what it's worth, I think AiV is a great little company, that does good by its customers and instills a sense of caring through their packaging and products.)

They were gaining popularity well before Alegria was bumping their threads. He has a 2nd handle on this forum and tried to get people to jump ship. Similar thing happened with Alhusion where they got a ton of orders.

BTW, hope you're enjoying those anise flavors!

I'm not bashing them at all. It was mostly meant as a joke, but if they did hype their company it was obviously a successful marketing strategy! I'm not complaining about the wait, I was aware of the wait before I ordered.
