Lordy I'm so jealous. No postal delivery which means no goodies for me today. They are probably behind since the city shut down for 2 days because of the weather. I was so looking forward to having some mangrila. I've got a tank all ready to go. I think I will go stick my head in a hole and pout.

I love AiV so much I am addictively vaping the last dregs of Lemon Loves Cake that are clinging to the long wicks of my Halo gear. This was an itty bitty bottle which was from my original order, the Everything sampler, and was as close to a 4 week steep that I could stand to wait (managed 3 weeks), so I put every last bit of it into a big tank and couldn't/haven't put it down :D

I have a huge bottle now but uggggggghhhh it has to sit for weeks. Weeks!
*puff puffs the very last little bit of ripened lemon cake*
So freaking good.

But, the salvation appears in the form of bottles from today that don't have to steep, AND the many bottles from my original order (including the infamous White Rabbit), only have a few little days left to be at the magical month steep stage.

I'm going to be in the same situation with my Cupcake City. Which flavors don't need to steep? Maybe I can find something to get me by while I wait? I think it's time for me to buy several big bottles and then restock in advance. I have tried so many things, I thought I'd never find one I would want all the time.

My Mang-ri-la charm looks *exactly* like this... not my pic, but same charm.
Buddha .. but not sure of the overall meaning with the hand.

Good find :)

I've spent some time trying to find a historical reference but to no avail so far. The hand appears to be this: Varadamudra - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"it indicates a gesture by the hand and symbolizes dispensing of boons."

Torturing myself, but letting the Mang-ri-la rest with the cap off for a day before I try it. No doubt that I'll find it a boon though ;)

Common wisdom here seems to indicate that these are good right away (and many get better with time), and I think they're good out of the box too:

April Moon
A Quiet Morning
Zombie Apocalypse (some say 1 week minimum)
Frost Blossom
Twas Brillig (some say 2 weeks minimum)
Black & White Cookie
15 Foot Falls (some say 1 week minimum)

Others people say are good right away:
Merclipse
Mang-ri-la
Lavender
Cherry Blossom

But White Rabbit and Cupcake City seem to be the ones people -really- encourage allowing the full month long steep for them to truly sing.

Ah you may be right. I wasn't finding anything either, but the face looked like Buddah to me, so I was searching in reference to Buddha.

Thank you! I just got 15ff and it will be about a week old when I run out of CC. After that, I have some samples that should be ready.

I wish I could try teas, really. But tea of any kind, hot, cold, sweet, not, flavored or not makes me literally gag. Even if I just smell it  sry to be graphic but it's true. I was really sick as a baby and could only drink tea for over a week, my mom said after that I would cry at the smell of it and guess it has stuck till this day. Ok, I don't cry now I just run away from it.

And I have tried Zombie and LOVE it..I've got my order together for next week and I have a ton to order. Love that little box and cards in it. Soooo cute and can't wait to get mine. The hardest part tho will be steeping. I seriously can not see how some of these flavors can be better like Zombie and 'twas.

Do all of them have an average steep time or does it vary. If it's on their website, I guess I can look it up myself.

Angie! Welcome girl!

Um, you gotta try Mang-Ri-La, just ordered a bigger bottle! :)

Hi Vapelandians, about to run out for the day and kind of felt okay to type so saying hi. :)

I'll take a shot at this........A long time ago....in a classroom far, far away......a young archaeology student was attending his Eastern Religion courses and focusing on Myth, Symbolism, and Ritual.....anyway....the Face does not appear to be Buddha to me but more that of Shiva, the Hindu creator God. Note the dot on the forehead that represents the third eye of Shiva. In Vedic texts, this was the all seeing eye, and Shiva was considered both creator, protector, and destroyer. The hand in Hinduism is know as Hamsa, and is associated with a world wide belief that it brings protection and luck. In the Vedic texts, it acts like a lightening rod so to speak, deflecting evil downward into the earth and bringing good fortune to those who display it. This may not be the case as it is difficult to discern from looking at a charm, but Hinduism is associated with Shangri-La and these appear to be the symbols most closely associated with that....just my :2c:.....
