Ha

perhaps. but I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
-subjective to a degree yes, but these should be in the same ballpark taste-wise.
One thing I heard was AVE switched recently to all USA ingredients.. perhaps the formula has changed?
perhaps Alien Vapors has been fiddling with their recipe as well.. dunno but i was surprised.
I'm curious to hear from others who have RECENTLY purchased from both vendors to see what their experience was.
Boba's is largely love-it or don't-get-the-hype juice but very few people have an expectation that it's easy to copy within reason. A pure GC/MS analysis will tell you a lot except how to source the exact flavorings and extracts without doing a full-blown synthesis, how temperature and aeration and agitation and such might come into play, etc. I know it's not super complicated but it's complicated enough to escalate them to mythical status and the general consensus that I've found is that people really just want the recipe to be sold because it is one of a kind and the vendor in the past had trouble meeting demand.
Now I want to buy this Alien Vapor stuff just to see what you're on about but I think you're the only outlier I've run into who has tasted both and preferred the evil clone and I will not
I don't want to get libelous about the guy who runs Alien Vapors but it's clearly a disreputable operation and some basic Googling around has plummeted his reputation in my eyes far beyond "counterfeit juice maker" which in the modern web-2.0 Google era conflated with small emerging businesses, this basically is...no money can go to this person IMHO.
There have always been "soundalike" clones in the e-cig world and I think it's cute and admirable to try to mimic a known good recipe starting with 555 and RY4 nearly a half-decade ago (or more?), and clique-y when vendor "A" sells a clone of vendor "B" with a new twist on a name that was already quirky. Copying the name of the juice and making a "soundalike" vendor name is beyond the pale, except they went "beyond-er" and filed a trademark application!
But I can't deny the power of mystique surrounding the vaunted BB and would like to give my local reputable B&M some AVE juices just to see how close *they* can get. For starters, it's gotta be 100% VG IMHO, you have to start there and build it and then contemplate PG if you really need it.
I bought a new 30ml bottle of Gorilla Juice but haven't tried it since I have some very old BB and GJ sitting around and if my palate wasn't so boozy I'd bust out a 510 atomizer just to reply with feedback on whether it's changed in the 18 months or so it's been since I last bought it. I had a vaping sabbatical for some time there, no fault of the juice suppliers. I was using too much PG to keep my Boge cartomizers happy and just got burned out and switched to Snus. Back in the swing now!
