Alien Vs Gpriv

Anyone else a little disappointed with the G-Priv ? Dont get me wrong it is a nice mod works well but I think its underwhelming. I think they could of done so much more with the options and big screen. Hopefully a update comes in and unlocks stuff . I love the size and shape Its actually almost a perfect match of a alpintech P + box " which I made 2 of " So I might be biased

The Alien I think is amazing especially for price per performance . Great size for dual 18650 nice screen with plenty of info. Only down falls Ive had was cheap paint . Others have somplained about battery door and trigger . But really you can grab this mod for $50 I dont think there is much that can compare in price range . Its actually not much bigger or heavier then my Favorite single 18650 mod AO dagger

I have both and grab the Alien the majority of the time due to size and feel in my hand.

The G-Priv is better built/constructed but the menu is kinda meh once you use it a lot. Cool for sure and great if you flip between VW and TC a lot on the fly but beyond that, it doesn't really have any added functionality that the Alien lacks.

I love both, but am preferring the Alien. My paint is still perfect after a month+.

When I was looking for a new mod a few months ago I was trying to decide between the G-Priv and the Alien. I went with the Alien mostly because of I felt that over time the Alien would be more reliable than a touch screen mod. I also like the form factor of the Alien better. The paint is coming off of my Alien like crazy but that doesn't affect the functionality at all.

I got the Alien because it was on a flash sale on Ecig mod only+ 2 batteries for ~$45 with shipping. Turned out to be a solid buy for me. I've been one of the fortunate few without any paint issues, and even SS TC works OK with the 1.2.2 firmware update. But all that probably makes me an outlier for everything to be working out right.

Even so, and I don't have a G-Priv for direct comparison, I would still go with the Alien for size alone. It's so easy to pocket for a 2 battery mod, and it does all the stuff I need. the touchscreen seems like a nice touch, but I'm not sure it's enough to make me give up the size advantage of the Alien.

I dont think I would have the G-Priv if I had to pay for it . Its great looking and all but .... price for what it is I dont think matches . But if they can add some features in a update it could easily change . The guy I traded one of my DIY mods for the G felt same way . I had 2 alpinetech P +s so I did not mind parting with one . It was full kit so I have another big baby as well now .

I really like the cleito 120s on the G and ALien . Def more then then the Smok tanks . I have 2 Baby's 2 big baby's and a beast .

Ive noticed a difference in power as well . 90 watts on alien is not the same as 90 watts on the grpiv . to get the same pull and strength on 90 w on the alien I have to do 98w on the grpiv same batteries and same tank ... kinda weird .

I have the Alien and I am very happy with it and the G-Priv is on my wish list. I friend had one crap out after 20 minutes and had to return for replacement. Possible bad run maybe? I would like to hear more about the Gprivs in case there are others who aren't happy. Possible 10% power fluctuation is a definite concern. If it went the other way you could fry coils in a few pulls. Wheels and gears turning here..............

I like the g-priv I just think they dropped the ball . It had lots of potential but it is a really big plain screen with not as much control as some less mods . When price drops more on it I think it will be ok , but for now price per performance it does not add up . Everything else is nice , looks good , fits in hand nice , battery door and seems built well
