I own the Reo Grand and yes I like it but recently I thought about the differences and advantages/disadvantages to the Ali'i. Yes I know the Ali is a VV but besides that what is different about the Reo Grand and the Ali'i? nothing?

All I really was able to figure out for myself was that the Ali'i does not allow you to use cartos is that correct? if so why not?

Secondly the Ali'i is a VV and the Reo works at 3.7 and 6v.

What else fellow vapors?

I'm not familiar with the Ali'i, but I do know the REO is all mechanical (unless you have a woodvil). The REO definitely can use cartos, virtually any resistance atty, etc.

I have 2 REOs ("Mini"), and there are LOTS of folks that use them. There's a huge sub-forum by, and for, owners here. Check it out :)

the ali'i has two versions. standard and vv. it depends on which carto you use i guess as to weather it will work.

the reo woodvil has thicker wood than the standard ali'i i previously owned. IMO the reo's are true 3.7v devices and the standard ali'i does not hit as hard. The vv is a different ball game that i can't answer to yet.

I have a 3.7 Ali'i and a Grand. The Ali'i is a great device. Not a whole lot of difference between it and the Grand vape wise. I use my Grand more though. I like the heavier feel of the Reo in my hand. The Ali'i fits my hand perfect (index finger on button and middle or ring finger on bottle). I just prefer a metal PV.
