It's not a big problem, you should be very happy with your first mech. :) figured I'd replace the spring with a pair of opposing magnets.

I'd like to try that. Will a magnetic switch work better, and in what ways? Haven't encountered a magnetic switch yet.

I sometimes got a click/snap but no vape.. it was the spring. I've since fixed it by cutting off a bit off the overlap, but the seed's been planted.

I imagine the button would be much softer.

We'd need a 12-15mm magnet with a 5mm hole(drilling is a bad idea) :)

I'd research on that, hope it can improve the voltage loss of this thing. I don't know of other places, but I have been to a shop in Quiapo (Wellmanson's the name) that among a plethora of things, sells sets of magnets of different sizes. Or maybe I can take one off from the ref, those souvenirs, if it happens to be the correct size.

Oh you meant about the 18350s. The tube will be a bit long so there'll be a little rattling.

You could use a kick or some conductive magnets to fill up the extra space.

I actually do have a kick. Using it will get rid of any rattling?
Also....do all mechs use "protected" batteries?
I bought some yesterday, now all I need is the device.

Not sure how it'll affect voltage drop, the thing works without the spring :)

I was thinking rare earth magnets..much stronger than ref magnets. If i can't find one with the hole, maybe super glue a bunch of them onto a pair of washers

I use unprotected IMR batteries. Aw mnke are highly praised. I use efest. Panasonic cgr_ch is what I wanted but they've been discontinued, not sure which Panasonics are imr now.

Also read up on ohm law and your battery's amp rating. I would never use 18350 on my .6 ohm build.

so you guys are saying that this tvs clone i have in my hand from fast tech is 100 percent brass. There is no gold plating? are you sure its polished and not plated? mine looks soo plated, even the threads are shiny. i hope i am wrong. i dont want cheap crap plating, i wanted a full 100 precent brass mod. i hope that if this is plated there is at least brass underneath and not iron. please someone confirm this. i dont wanna sand this and find out its iron or something so then i cant get a refund. thanks

You may have to actually search outside ECF because here, well there just isn't any concrete 100% sure answer to your question.
According to FastTech's product page, the color is gold and the material is brass.
So far in this thread there is not one post of anyone having sanded theirs.

Also.....this was taken from BlackWidowsVapor

BlackWidows Brass Diablo by TVS

Don't need to spent over $300 or stand in line for a Diablo, now is the time to get the closest thing to the Diablo with this clone.

Full Brass
Full mechanical mod
copper connecter
use 18350/18490/18650 batteries
small easy to use
hits hard

woke up this morning and looked at my mod and it still looks just as shiny as it did when i got it. ive washed it with soap and water, handled it all night, got ejuice on it, whipped it down with a towel, and no tarnish. I think the tvs clone used to come non plated. I think people complained about it tarnishing because they wanted what they saw in the fasttech images. they wanted a shiny mod, and it wouldnt stay shiny for long. So now they put a silver base coat over the brass and then a gold top coat over that. thats why some people have said they see silver when polishing, and some say they get it scratched and see brass. thats all i can think of guys. Everything i read about the tvs seems to be different so theres got to be 2 makers or a old version and a new version.
