I checked the freshsmoking website and the bottles come in only 18mg nicotine levels. Isn't that considered low?

Janty's 'high' is 16mg and their 'low' is 6mg. They have an Xhigh at 24 and some at 36, but yes, it seems that freshsmoking only has the 16mg strength. (I didn't check every flavor and you could email them on that). On their 'classic flavors' (non Janty) there are some higher nic levels.

How would you go about getting a good menthol taste? Just buying the menthol e-liquid or buying the regular tobacco flavor and add menthol crystals

I'd experiment with blending the flavor Kent with say, Janty's menthol. More Kent than menthol, because menthol can be overwhelming. But buying crystals is another way - there's a recipe for that here. Check a menthol thread.

Hey kent, I e-mailed those people at that freshsmoking website and they recommended their classic cigar juice for a robust non-sweet taste. They don't have kent or hilton though. I have to say they have great customer support! I just asked a couple of questions and got long detailed response within just a couple minutes. Nice people.

It seems like they were steering me away from the janty stuff for some reason, She told me the menthol was probably a little too sweet for my liking.

I like that supplier, if I can put together something decent there then I'll probably keep buying from them. Thanks for the lead..

I agree. Couldn't be nicer or more informative. For Kent and Hilton, yeah, you'll have to go elsewhere - that is just an example of what I would have blended.

Earlier I said that the Janty menthol was strong but should have noted that it also has a sweet note. My point there was only on 'strength'. I don't find it super sweet though and mixing it with Kent or Hilton would cut it a bit.

Welcome. I ended up with some of their larger quantity DIY PG and VG, along with some Lorann flavors. A dime more than Loranns but I think I got free shipping for the size of the order.

As soon as I realized that vaping wasn't like drinking a Coke, I eased up on the over analysis and started enjoying the flavors as experienced.

If you want to experience a real Coke, then drop the cash and buy one. Drink it - don't vape it.

75% of atomizer problems are caused by noobies overflavoring ejuice. We vape to get the nicotine we need. Once you realize this fact, the small amount of flavor you experience is a bonus.

The sad part is that the nicotine hit is nowhere near as strong as an analog, you can notice this by vaping constantly all day for a week or two and then having an analog. On the first hit of the analog you will begin to feel light headed and wonder what kind of nic-less vapor you had been actually smoking.
The thing that bothers me is that it lacks flavor and it can be simply added with the right ingredients but instead a ton of sugar is added to mask the nasty nicotine taste.

I'm tired of the taste, I got some Cannabis cologne which I will mix into pure Propylene Glycol and will post my results here.
(Most likely will destroy my lungs smoking some unknown carcinogens but am curious... :D)

Theres a difference between nicotine hit, and "unknown substance hit". Thats what youre feeling in analog cigs. I actually feel more "buzzed" from vaping than i ever did with cigarettes, - ofcourse part of it is that this is "new" so my body hasnt fully adjusted. Still - if i need a buzz, i can do a bigger vape, - on a cigarette i wouldnt get a bigger buzz from a bigger draw, id just feel worse. :)

So i wont totally agree - but each to their own i spose. I still think 90% of vaping is what gear youre vaping on, then 5% the liquid and the rest i guess is mental. :D

Very true. I was a chain smoker. I am not a chain vaper. I get just as much nicotine as before, in less than a third of the time.

You don't go by the feel of the smoke/vape. You go by whether your cravings are satisfied with how much you care to vape/smoke. I had to smoke analogs constantly or I would nicfit out. After smoking 6 analogs in a row, ten minutes later, I was lighting up another one. Vaping is far FAR less time consuming -- and no nicfits.

I guess that depends if you factor in the time spent on message boards, reading reviews, troubleshooting and what not. ;)

Id like to see old analog users go on a messageboard discussing flavor of their marlboros, from different continents hehe ;D

I've been doing MYOing for a few years and participated on some boards where the discussions weren't that far off. Lots of 'flavor' talk. Which RYO blend tastes the most like Marlboros... no it doesn't, yes it does. lol.

In MYO language, analogs = 'premades'.

I think you have just shown be the light... none of the favors taste like what they are labled to me.. and you just nailed the reason.

Thanks. I find that I am as bad at mixing up flavors as I am cooking. So I am going to stick to the premixed tabacco flavors.

So I will have some 36mg VG unfavored to unload soon cuz I cant make it into anything I like.

I also find the flavors that I've tried to be very weak for my taste with one exception... Menthol (the only menthol I've tried is from EliquidPlanet).
It does have a sweet taste, but it's the only juice that I would truly consider to have a "flavor" rather than a "hint of flavor". Taste-wise, it reminds me of Dr. McGillicuddy's (Mentholmint flavor) Schnapps.
