Since starting vaping a bit over a month ago, I've been chasing those great flavors. My first experience was with mothers milk on a kanger 75w tc using a subtank with .15 clapton. Got a nice flavor the first days, but it subdued. I then tried troubleshooting. Did I have vapors tounge? Was my setup satisfactory? I bought a ipv d3 with a serpent rta, which lead me to start building.

The flavor improved, but I noticed I only tasted one flavor and the others just barely. Like anml looper where I only taste the citrus and slight creamy. I bought a goblin mini v2 and the flavors improves even more, but still I feel only one flavor is coming through. vaping churrios on the GB with dual 28g 2.5mm id kanthal at .78. I taste slightly the warm brown sugar with cinnamon on inhale, but on exhale only strongly cinnamon. What I wonder is, does the flavor improve drastically as my skills in building and wicking improve or is the issue my taste buds? A bit frustrated as I watch reviews of ejuice that I've got is being described so much more complex and delicious than I can make it taste. Any thoughts?

If you've been a heavy smoker over a long period of time, your tastebuds are going to be on a bit of a wild ride for a few months.

I smoked for 3 decades. Swithced to vape in 2013; I still notice some old smells coming back.
Do yourself a favour and don't chase the flavors too hard.

In addition to what has already been said, I find it a good policy to change up the flavor profile of my juice every so often. I prefer fruit vapes more than anything else, and tropical ones at that, but I cover my bases flavor-wise. At least every day or two, sometimes multiple times a day, I make sure that I'm giving my tastebuds some kind of break from all the pineapple, citrus, passionfruit, etc. and I rarely have issues tasting things as they should taste.

Relax. It takes time for tge tastebuds and sense of smell to recover.
