All my flavors have a metallic taste to them...am I doing something wrong?

Hello everyone!

I am now at a week without an analog and I'm enjoying my ecig, but I do have question. It seems that all the flavors of juice that I have acquired have a metallic taste to them. Unfortunately, I have no idea of who the maker of the juice is. All the bottles were bought at the location where I got my ecig and the only markings on the bottles is the flavor and the nicotine content. In fact, one day when I was in there I asked to see the juices and they told me they had some, but hadn't put the stickers on them yet. Kinda scary!

I'm using a 910 ecig and the cartridges are newly filled. I washed the atomizer well with hot water and let it dry before trying again.

Was just wondering if it was perhaps the type of ecig I'm using or if maybe it was just really bad juice.

I have ordered 4 flavors from Moondrop Inc so I'm really excited to try those and see the difference.

Normally any metallic taste/flavor originates at the coil in the atomizer/cartomizer. Are you keeping enough joose on the coil? Have you tried another atomizer?

I dislike atomizers. You need to keep them clean or they get weak + nasty taste. Unfortunately it's hard to find cartomizers for 901. And I found 901 atomizers difficult to clean. Some KR808D-1 cartomizers might work - try the ones from SmokelessImage.

Also if you are buying Chinese juice like Dekang or any juice that's only available in 100% PG is probably Dekang or similar - it's Chinese juice. Some tobaccos are decent and I would not vape the rest.

If your atomizer is new and has a machine oil smell/taste - that's primer. * Blow out the atomizer into a tissue, reprime with juice on the bridge (3 drops or so if you have auto batteries - don't want to kill your batteries with juice leaks), wait for that to soak down to the coil, use the empty dummy cart to vape that mostly off without inhaling. Repeat from *. Repeat again and try inhaling. Any better?

Thanks for the suggestions. I wish I knew what the juice was or where it was manufactured. That is why I was thinking it might just be old or cheap juice. Flavors are very muddy to say the least and about the only one I find tolerable is the Menthol.

I have cleaned two atomizers and I'm still dealing with the metallic taste. I'll look into the cartomizers and I believe there are adaptors for the 901 that I can use 510 cartos on, but I could be wrong.
