Man, I am sitting here just in shock as I type this!!
Ok, many of you know that the past month has been a vaping nightmare for me. Stiff cartos, crappy draw, lack of flavor, did I mention stiff draw...... lol. I had tried EVERYTHING......gave ol faithful mini a bath, noaloxed her good, bought new batts, purchased cartos from 3 different vendors, mixed up a higher nic juice that only made me get a raging headache and nic buzz, and yet NOTHING was working!
Today was the breaking point. Loaded new carto last night. Drive into work today, it was like a milkshake drawing on it. Got to work, pulled out a spare carto, loaded it up, instantly a burnt crappy taste. Good lord, it was only 6:30am, I still had a 12 hour shift (1st of 3 this week) and it was not off to a good start. Loaded up yet ANOTHER carto....really stiff draw. Horrible!! Had to suffer through it though and make it work since I only had 1 carto left on me.
Go into work, suffered with this carto for the first 4 hours. Lunch break arrived, pretended I had to "do number 2" so I could go use the alternate private bathroom. Loaded up my last carto on me. Same horrible draw. I was starting to get mad. Waaaaay past frustration point at this moment. I swore when I got home I was gonna pull out my spare Reo mini, email Rob and tell him I was shipping ol' faithful to him for a tune-up because I was out of ideas as to what was wrong. Pulled out my spare brand new mini. Loaded my carto on it, put a new batt in, loaded up my juice bottle, and it was the SAME CRAPPY DRAW. Now I was really mad. Filled up yet another carto (we are at 6 now in the last 24 hours), tried it on both mini's with the juice bottle attached, and while it was a little bit better, it was nowhere NEAR what I vaped for 9 months before this crap storm started.
And this is when the heavens opened and the angels sing. Since this carto was working ever so slightly better, I decided to try it on ol' faithful mini, but I did not take the juice bottle off the new Reo cause I was tired of the juice making a mess everytime I took the bottle off. Screwed on the carto, took a hit, and it was PERFECT!!!!! I nearly fell out of my chair the vape and draw were so good!! Put the carto back on the new mini with the juice bottle still on it, and the draw went to crap again. Took the juice bottle off the new mini and took a hit and PERFECTO!!!!
Folks, I sat there and just started laughing. You see, 1 month ago.....when this whole vaping crap nightmare started, my original 3mL bottle that came with my mini began to show some signs of age. So, having at least 9 million spare 3mL bottles on hand, I pulled a new one out and put it on the mini. And that is the EXACT moment that my vaping experience went to crap. Why on earth I had never put this together is beyond me.....
So I examined this little rinky dink 25 cent bottle and cussed it out. How much $$ had I wasted the past month on new carto after new carto? How much juice was wasted due to tossing cartos? And ya know what? This little bottle has a thicker set of threads, a smaller top hole, and it is slightly off round. Not perfect round like the spare bottle in my new Reo. So.....filled up my spare mini bottle, attached it, and vaped. And it was PERFECT!!!!!!
Oh mylanta....all of this hassle due to a darn BOTTLE????? For the life of me I cannot believe it either.
SO....lets add one other trouble-shooting technique. If you have tried everything else, examine your 3mL bottle. Because who knew that cheap piece of plastic could cause oh so many problems.
