2) Go door to door offering to mow/weed eat/hedge trim with the home owners own equipment. Might have to do this on the cheap since you are using their gear.

I wish that knock would come on my door!!

Also, if you have a smartphone, look at square. Then you can get payment by CC....even easier to get paid. No more "gee, we said $20, but I only have $15 on me...".

Yup!

Also consider using Intuit (the quickbooks folks). I have CC processing and payroll integrated right into my QB program on my work laptop. Costs me like $35 a month for both and they have a free card processing iphone app and card reader.

Just keep in mind that not only do they charge a small monthly fee but they take a small percentage of each card transaction. Also there is a small lag time while funds are processed .

Frosting-
First off: HUGS for you.
Next:
I have been very far down financially. Here's something I would like you to consider. Your health is quite important right now & what lots of folks do is eat junk food when they are down. So I would encourage you to go to the grocery store & buy these items. You can eat on this all week & it will cost very little.
1 box old fashioned oatmeal. $4
1 bag brown rice $2
1 bag dried beans $1-2
If you have money left, get an onion too.
Now you have breakfast lunch & dinner. Protein + fiber + lots of vitamins.

I know I know... Bullette the Cowdog is just weird.
Good luck my friend

So many responses... Thank you to everything with their support.

Supergerbil.... That's fantastic advice. The flyers and such I will most likley put that advice into action more with the babysitting/pet sitting/ house watching avenue only because I'm better at that. I have my own vegetable garden that's about 14 by 12 and an hour weeding in my little patch of vitamins wears me out. I have quite a few years of childcare experience under my belt. Flyers in my area would defiantly be a stepping stone of getting work in my area.

I'm also considering stopping by all the big box stores with can returns and taking the bottles & cans others can't return to the local redemption center that can. Until I land something.... ya know that that's my gas money to get to the possible interviews, small jobs, ect.

Bullette the Cowdog- I found that quite sweet yet funny. When I was buying food for the times I'm facing right now I actually bought two boxes of brown rice, and a huge cylinder of Quick Oats. I meant to get dry beans and probably will because they're cheap and a good idea. I could probably pick up a bag in my spare change. You're right. I have been eating too much junk food and need to cut it out.

Sadly I do not have a smart phone. I could never justify the cost and my over-all rate of losing cell phones lol. That is a great idea though even in other avenues.
grandmato-- Thank you for the heads up even if it's something I don't want to hear it sounds like a detail I need to know.

Mirra-- Thanks, I am and I plan to apply to more. Its difficult because although I've been working a long time I don't have many desirable skills places look for around here. Its mostly trade, manufacturing, and retail. Retail yes the other two not so much.

Sorry if I missed anyone to those I did, thank you.

I will cook if you bring the veggies
:)

Hehe Summer & Acorn Squash, Golden Wax Beans, Cauliflower, Broccoli, tomatoes, basil, Mustard Greens(my favorite), sugar baby watermelons and more. I'm pretty proud of my garden. Maybe I can mail you some vegetables? :p

When food is getting difficult to afford there's great comfort in a garden.....
