Angus can I lock then UNlock a thread ?
Reason being is that a thread I had in the modders area ( asking IF people would want a product , NOT SELLING the product ! ) got moved over here by one of the moderators.

I also sell 510 LR attys and It would make 3 threads !
SO can I lock for a while then unlock a thread ?

So are you saying I am limited to 2 open threads even in $40 a month for????

This only applies to supplier threads in the E Cigarette Supplier Forum (this forum) and its subforums, which are:

  • Modder/Accessory Suppliers Forum
  • UK and Ireland Suppliers
  • Euro Suppliers

As stated above, this does not apply to Forum Supplier forums.

Added this to the first post:

Addendum:
All Forum Suppliers (those with their own dedicated forum) are limited to one open thread in these forums, instead of the two allowed to Registered Suppliers. This change was made because Registered Suppliers only have these few forums to post their advertisements in, while Forum Suppliers have their own forum where they can post as much as they want.

The first post in this thread has been updated with the following:

Addendum #2:
It seems some suppliers have been going against the spirit of the "open thread" rule by posting a thread, then immediately closing it, sometimes repeatedly. I will stress that this is not going to be allowed in any way. If I see it continuing, it may jeopardize your ability to post in this forum at all.

I may have missed it, but how long before old 'closed' threads are purged? Or do we need to request it. I just don't want to open a new thread and have conflicting information in it if compared to an old thread. Arrrrr, thank ye!

Purged as in deleted? We don't delete old threads.

Closing a thread is easily done. Once you open the thread, at the top of the first post you will see a link titled "Thread Tools". Under that link will be the option "Close Thread". Choose that option, then click the button marked "Perform Action". This can also be used to open a thread you may have closed accidentally.

It's administrative tools not thread tools. :) at least that is where my close option is.

Angus, I did not know where to post this and thought this the best spot.
1. Administrative tools: it would be nice to have this feature include edit original post (without time constants). For updating contests and inventory post and such...
2. Would love to redecorate/customize my profile page again. I miss this feature.......

to open or close a thread its super easy if you just look at the thread list here. all you have to do is double click the icon next to the thread. that will close or open a thread without dealing with dropdowns.

just double click this guy here

Sorry, but this just isn't possible. The edit time limit is a forum-wide setting, and can't be set individually.

Do me a favor and shoot me a PM about this. I will take a look and see what I can do after I get home from work.

See? Even I learn something new once in a while. I wasn't aware that feature was available for non-moderators. Thanks, Caddyman!

yes sir, if you have the power to do it, you can do it anyway you like :p

you can also mark a single forum as "read" on the forum index by double clicking it's button.

so double click this

forum_new-48.png

and it turns to this

forum_old-48.png

(anyone can do that)

if you have the power to change a thread title you can double clicks its square area in the thread list and it will let you edit it inline rather then dealing with the edit inside the thread as well.
