Dangit. This is probably the most innovative, grassroots, rapidly advancing industries ever. Maybe second to social media apps and role-playing games (go figure). In just a little over nine years, I have given up caring about what every new next best innovation or pre-order is available. There's nothing new! This industry is less than a decade into is maturity, and there are RDAs available. Thousands of atties. Very soon, with the historic speed of developments in vaping hardware, the best new innovative options we will have will be colors.

Edit: I could, and hope to, be wrong. Sorry to be a buzzkill tho.

From when I started, in 2012, huge innovations have occurred. As the community found out what works companies took notice and made huge improvements at an amazing pace. Recently I think we have plateaued because early on the vape from those devices was really piss poor and needed improvement to be satisfying. It doesn’t make sense to reinvent the wheel so there is only so much we can improve upon. Battery performance is an area that will improve and there will be small tweaks here and there that will work and catch on but we have caught up to what’s possible at this point so innovation will occur at a slower rate then the breakneck speed we’re used to.

It just comes down to someone's own perspective. Why don't you try to build a then top tier atty like the Corona V1 from 10 years back? I'm pretty sure the experience will be quite enlightening.
Compared to just a few years back, we're in vaping heaven.
There are setups available nowadays, that noone ever dreamt of 10 years ago, not only in case of functionality but also considering ease of use.
There is a setup for everyone's preference available today, from DL, MTL, leak proof designs to flavor and cloud chaser devices. Just a blink of an eye ago, you had to be content with what was available, even if it was pure garbage by today's standards.
Overall production quality has improved significantly as well. What was thought to be top notch then, is sub standard today at best.
As the production quality rose, the prices plummeted. Sure, there are still so-called high end atties around, but their prices are not calculated because of superior craftsmanship anymore, but because they're manufactured in the more pricier countries. But even those devices are not as costly anymore as their predecessors were back then.
