I just got my iCare today and I'm really enjoying it. The battery lasted about 8 hours of frequent vaping. I was surprised at how fast it charged. I used it while charging and it was fully charged in about an hour.
I've been using the iCare Mini for about a week now, so I thought I'd throw my thoughts in here.
First off, I'm happy with it now, but it did take some getting used to (and, I think, a break-in period). Initially, I couldn't get a good MTL hit (which is how I like to vape). I tried every air flow setting from closed to wide open, but it really only seemed to work well with a DL inhale. After a few days of use, however, the battery actuator got easier, making the whole device work better for MTL.
I got about 5 days from my first coil, which I consider pretty good. Prior to this, I was still using the tiny Joyetech eRoll (I like small devices) and I'd get about the same amount of time out of one of those atomizers. But since these iCare coils are considerably less expensive, I'm pleased enough with that amount of performance.
My only complaint is that it spits juice too much. Any time I pull off the mount piece, there's a little drop of juice sitting on the lip of the air pipe too. I've got a 50/50 PG/VG juice in it, so I'm sure that's a factor (I've read that thicker juice is better in the iCare). What ratio of juice do you think works best in this to prevent or at least reduce the spit back?

I use 70% PG/30%VG and when I got liquid in my mouth I opened another air hole. I try to keep mine between 1 1/2 to 2 holes open on the 4 I have. I'm a MTL vaper only.
I'm a MTL also, but with my iCare I have to do a DL, as the thing doesn't fire till around 2.5 seconds after I start pulling on it. Both the Icare, and Mini are the same.

It doesn't bother me though, as I now expect it.

That's how mine was too initially, but the actuator really loosened up for me after a few days and mine fires up in less than a second now. How long have you had yours?

I guess the juice ratio isn't my problem then because the first thing I put into it was a 70PG/30VG (then tried the 50/50 hoping to reduce the spitback). It's just condensation, I think. It builds up inside the mouth piece when I vape, drips down onto the pipe when idle, then shoots up when I vape again. It's not a lot, but it's enough to be annoying and the only way I've been able to avoid it is to twist a bit of napkin into the mouthpiece to swab it out before vaping. I've got 3 air holes open right now, which feels perfect for me, but I'll try closing it down a bit and see if that helps.
If you close more holes it might get more liquid build up and make it worse. Sometimes my wife actually covers the air inlet on the iCare with her finger and it gets a lot of liquid in her mouth... She like hers really restricted.
Yeah, that makes sense. And I guess if airflow had any effect anyway, I wouldn't have been getting a juice build up earlier on when I did have it closed more.
Oh bummer. I don't know if I'm lucky or you're unlucky. The only thing I can suggest to you is to close the airflow off with your finger for a moment when you first start to pull on it to force it to activate quicker. That's what I was doing for the first few days when I thought it took too long to fire up. Who knows, maybe creating that momentary suction actually helped loosen it up a bit.
I guess everyone sucks differently??? LoL... Maybe it's that some people have a stronger or weaker draw than others?
I've tried that, it doesn't make any difference.
The first iCare I had, I sent back because of this, and the vendor sent another one, no difference.
I got the spitting only at the beginning of using it initially. I disassembled and blew out the tube (and coil?), and haven't had it since. I'm 50-50 also and I'm sure you can factor in some other adjustments I made while getting it where I like it, but somehow it did permanently go away. I thought spitting has to do with incomplete vaporizing??
Anyone see those higher ohm coils stateside? Not being able to use this thing as much as I'd like...
We went into the local vape store shortly after we picked up new ones, because I kept getting juice spit at me. The person there told me that I was sucking too hard. My husband said, "Don't tell her that!" We both started cracking up (after I popped 'im). The person behind the counter turned 14 different shades of red.
Well I don't know what changed, but since last night, I'm not getting having any more problems with my iCare Mini spitting juice at me. It still builds up on the tip of the air pipe and inside the mouth piece, but it's not flying out when I inhale anymore. My best guess is that the device is broken in enough now that the ease of draw means I'm not, as twibbly so delicately put it, sucking so hard
I used my icare for a couple of days and I remember putting it in my purse .... and it's gone. I kept losing it because it was so small! Sad to say, I've given up on finding it again.
