Well, I'm apparently allergic to PG. First, I have eczema, which tends to flare up when I'm exposed any type of allergen or extreme weather changes.

I've only been vaping for a couple months now (quit pack and a half analog habit on Oct 30, 2013). And ever since I started, I've been extremely dehydrated. My lips, hands, and feet have dried out really bad, to the point of flaking and peeling. At first, I thought this was just from the sudden change to harsh winter temperatures, but it got worse than it ever had before. I won't be graphic, but my skin was in bad shape.

So, I did some googling, reading, and chatting with fellow vapers. It was recommended to me to get e-juice with no PG in it because PG removes moisture by design. So, I ordered some from these guys - Pure VG - Pure VG - and have been vaping their 100% VG e juice for about 2 weeks now. Well, it's official. I'm all but completely healed and have no more eczema flare-up or dehydration issues.

Anyway, just thought I'd share, in case anyone else is having similar issues with PG. Take care.

Glad you got your issue resolved but realize VG is also a humectant. Dehydration is one of the downsides to vaping. It's a good move you're using organic as they're less likely to be an issue if you do have allergies. Quite a few vapers that are sensitive to PG.
PG and VG are humectants...
A humectant is a substance used primarily in foods and cosmetic products to help retain moisture. These substances are called hygroscopic, which means that they are able to absorb ambient water. These hygroscopic compounds posses a chemical structure that attracts water from the atmosphere and binds it to various sites along the molecule.

When we inhale PG/ VG it "traps" the moisture in our mouth, throat and nasal area and thus the vapor. The real problem arises when the body is dehydrated and begins "stealing" moisture from other parts of the body to keep key organs hydrated. Ask any chemist and they will tell you the same. I drink 3+ liters of water per day.

Because of vapers being sensitive to many ingredients there's a huge demand in the last 2 yrs for organic based juice.
