Just got Alli (aka Orlistat) the OTC lipase blocker. Supposed to block 30% of fat absorption. I'll let you guys know how it goes with exercise + ephedrine/caffeine/nicotine.

Current weight: 183 (I'd say close to 20% body fat because I have a big upper body from heavy lifting)
Height 5' 4"
Exercise - 3 mile walk/jog 3-4x daily (just started)

I've been cheating recently because I had some family parties in which lots of fatty foods were present :). But I only have gained around 2lbs over the weekend and I can see the alli working really. There is tons of oil in my BMs and sometimes when I go it's pure oil. This is really good considering how many calories are in that. I haven't had much side-effects other than having to go to the restroom more and slight GI discomfort. I'm cleaning up my diet now and am running regularly so I'll have more results over the next two weeks.

EHE I'm back. Anyway - I actually haven't lost much weight. But the weird thing is I look cutter. I think it's because I'm building my leg muscles now. It is working great though - I feel lighter and after meals with fat I don't get food coma.
Well seeing as how you are banned, It will give you some time for walking! Geesh, hurry back, I want to know if it works long term!

I know about food coma! I could just fall over sometimes. I sure hope this works well for you.
I walk everyday when it's not raining or whatever. In Florida we have a quite a few days of whatever weather. I love the way you feel after a walk, kind of like floating.
The light feeling is due to not having all that fat in your system. I think you will find the better you feel the less you will want it in your life.
If you don't believe me, try eating a hambuger from Micky D's. If you don't get a 'Just ate lead" feeling..I'll stop posting...dot's..for a week! LOL

Gashin! You're not shy about posting about the dreaded orange oil, heehee! It is at least a sure sign the stuff's working. I usually avoid Alli if I know I'm having a 'treat', but if the oil weren't so nasty it'd be a great way of counteracting minor binges!

I need more soon, but it's harder to buy in the UK as I look like I have a lower BMI than I do, and my BMI isn't high enough anyways (about 26 - need to be 28 here), I just need a bit of 'help' getting back to my old size! Before Alli came on the market here I bought it is the States no probs, no questions! And it's cheaper there. Not gonna be there til Sept now!

Thanks! Yeah I like walking/jogging whenever I get into the addiction. It's the endorphin high we experience :). Yeah I think you're right about the fat - the Alli is removing significant amounts of it from my diet and I'm feeling more energy than before I was taking it. I used to sleep a ton before (even with my ephedrine/caffeine regimen) and after taking Alli for almost 2 weeks, I seem to have too much energy and have been getting very little sleep lol while attempting to do some excessive cardio (did a 6 mile jog/walk in the heat on Thursday!). I still eat some junk food but I do see what you mean - I feel bad afterward, but the alli seems to have diminished the feeling. Have you ever thought about trying it? You can get good deals on ebay and I got a 120 ct bottle for around 54 shipped which is the average price.

Haha - I guess I'm not shy about it because I volunteer at a hospital where I've seen and handled even worst and because I studied a lot about the digestive system in college. What's strange though is that I don't find the oil to be that disgusting - to me at least it doesn't have a strong smell and I like the feeling that it's fat that I didn't add onto my fat tissue and into my arteries.

You should try ordering from ebay - if you can't find it on the UK ebay I'm sure you can find it from a U.S. seller and it will still be cheaper than buying it OTC at a retail pharmacy.

I've never had .... leakage lol. But then I'm pretty young - maybe the side effects are more pronounced with age?
I tried Alli. Oh man, I'll never, ever, ever, use that stuff again! It worked, for a period but after a while the side-effects got to be just too much. If there was a tampon made for .... leakage, I would have bought it!

Funny thread :).

I've been taking Alli for almost 2 years now off and on. I'm not using it "correctly" though. I just take one every time I eat something fatty like pizza, etc. (which is kinda opposite of the point). I had the nasty side effects a bit at first, but now I don't have any side effects at all. Kind of makes me wonder if it's even working anymore.... I just like knowing that some of those calories from fat have been cut :). I don't know that I've lost any weight from it, but it certainly helped preventing weight gain (especially around holidays!).

SpaceCadet, I didn't know you had to have a certain BMI to buy it. I always just pick it up at Walmart right off the shelves. It's been a while since I bought it so maybe it's changed.

I can't take any new drugs for a while, I just started insulin for diabetes. I seem to be losing weight now anyway!
It's not snacking all the time because I vape my snacks instead. Also since I am only about 12 lbs above my BMI..I really don't need it. I really would love to kick that 12 lbs though!
My son is the one that needs it, he cannot seem to keep the weight off.

That's a UK thing - some OTCs are controlled and you have to speak to a pharmacist to get stuff, rather than just pick it off the shelf like in the USA.

Gashin - ebay UK doesn't show international sellers for this product any more, but I just looked at ebay.com and there are plenty of folks shipping worldwide, so I'll have a shop around and get enough to last until Sept - with the exchange rate currently slightly more favourable (for now) makes it a bit cheaper again too!

ETA - just bought 120 caps for less than the cheapest I could get 84 caps in the UK, and didn't have to do a BMI Lie! Most sellers were screwing non-US buyers for postage, but one did a decent deal. Sweet, cheers gashin :D
