Hey everyone...

I've found this site extremely helpful since I discovered it less than a week ago.

In the past I bought a few mods that quickly ended up collecting dust. I can't recall the first one, but the last one was the Joytech 510 tank. The battery died very quickly and the vape output was VERY weak. I got it to stop smoking cigarettes, and in the end I would always go back to smoking.

Since then I was able to give up analogs on my own. Ironically, my last cigarette was about 50 days ago...the same day as my last drink. Still, I did smoke cigars. Usually on the weekends, but sometimes during the week as well. I would have liked to give them up as well, but I'm not a saint. You have to live a little!

I noticed the Blu disposable cigarettes were becoming somewhat popular. One day at work I noticed a coworker having one. I was quite surprised and impressed by the amount of smoke (vapor) that it gave off. Far more then the mods I had retired to the tomb of my closet.

About a week ago I noticed the Blu's at my local Quick Check. Well, I had to give it a shot. I hate to admit it here having lurked for a bit, but I thought it was pretty decent.

This made me reconsider the whole vapeing thing. Needless to say, my research had begun!

It seemed the technology had really improved. I watched videos on youtube, came across this site, and got to see many new mods that set me on a quest.

To make a long story short (yeah right) I made a decision and placed an order......

Today my ProVari arrived. IT'S AWESOME!

A good friend of mine, a smoker for years, also got caught up in my new found hobby...his ProVari is due to arrive Monday. He is really excited about it too. He's already SURE that once it arrives, he'll be done with cigarettes for good.

That's about it!

Thanks to everyone here for answering every question I've had so far, the search option really works!

Vape on!!

Welcome to the ECF:) We are so glad to have you. The Provari is amazing! What liquid delivery are you using on top?

Thanks, glad to be here.

Right now I'm just using 510 3ohm cartomizes from the Provape site, where I purchases my ProVari from.

I like them, but I need to stay on top of keeping it filled. A few times I let it get a bit to dry and started to get that burnt taste. I'm making sure I don't let it get to that point now.

I have the SmokTech 6.0ml DCT on it's way. I've read mixed things about it. If it's not great I'll upgrade.

What do you use? I'm looking for a decent tank!

I use the Smoktech 6ml. DCT (or carto tank..I use single coil cartomizers) and the Boge F16...haven't had any trouble. I just ordered one of the Smoktech U-DCT tanks. Anxious to try it out. If you want REALLY sturdy, reliable and from all accounts GREAT tanks (I don't have any, just going by what I've seen posted) the Phiniac and the IBTanked tanks seem to be very well received. I'm considering getting a Triple V tank of some sort from Valley View Vapors. I like the idea of the side hole filling (not that I have any trouble with the traditional style). Also eyeing the Submarine tanks at Mom and Pop's.

Welcome to ECF!

Welcome to ECF!

Thanks! I'll look into those. I'm glad you have not issues with the smoketech dct. I came across some complaints about leaks.

None of my tanks have ever leaked. The only issue might be if you deform the cartomizer when punching it. It might work fine, but then, when you slide the tank to refill...the seal might not work well if the carto is deformed and juice might come out the bottom. But that is user error. Also be careful when sliding the tank up (to refill) that you don't pull on the tube...be sure to get up under the bottom of the end cap. They can come apart and spill juice if you pull on just the tube.

I lay mine down, and carry it in my purse on my PV and have knocked my PVs over etc. and have never had any leaks. You might get a drop of juice on the center connection pin of the PV if you vape hard and heavy. But that is normal. Just wipe it out with a Q-tip or tissue if it bothers you. And be sure to not get any juice in the center tube of the cartomizer. If you do...just gently blow it out from the mouth end into a tissue or bottle (if you are recycling your juice).

I love my carto tanks...including the Smoktech ones!
