If you've seen my last 2 recipes I was mixing 33mg/mL unflavored base from 6mL 100mg/mL VG + 10mL VG + 2 mL water for a 33mg/mL base. I found though that I was 'running out of room' to add my flavors and keep the juice at 20mg/mL.
Also, I add 95% grain alcohol to most of my recipes because I like the throat hit it gives. So I made up a new base of 50mg/mL and incorporated the alcohol in the base:
20mL of 50mg/mL base:
10 mL 100mg/mL unflavored 100%VG e-juice (from myfreedomsmokes)
7 mL 95% grain alcohol (Everclear or Golden grain)
3 mL VG
This gives a 50mg/mL base with a bit lower alcohol than I like in the final product (I like .15mL alcohol / mL) but most of the food flavorings I've been trying have about 35% alcohol so I reduced it in the base.
OK, so I will say this mix doesn't seem to work very well... It tastes real good, but the Vanilla extracts from supermarkets are all water, alcohol, and CORN SYRUP based. The corn syrup (I guess) gives a real nice sweet taste, but after vaping a bit I think it could be caramellizing inside the carto and clogging it up... I can get it going again by adding more juice and a few drops of alcohol, but really it needs a sugar free vanilla (guess I have to get real fancy and start making my own vanilla extract from vanilla beans...)
Anyhow, here is the recipe for inspiration, if you got a non corn syrup vanilla it should do well, with maybe some artificial sweetener added...
Recipe: 10mL of 20mg/mL Almond-Vanilla-Spice
4mL 50mg/mL unflavored base (recall has the grain alcohol for dillution)
2.75 mL Almond extract (I use Sauers: water, 35% alcohol, oil of bitter almond)
1.75 mL Vanilla Extract ( water, alcohol, corn syrup - replace if possible!)
.5 mL cinnamon (LorAnn)
1mL VG
