Its been almost a week using the Ego, and here are my thoughts on it.

Background: I am more of a social smoker, I would go for days/weeks with out having a smoke but if I was around ppl who smoked, I would want one. When I did have smokes and I was alone, I would smoke a lot (usually at work)

Review: All and all I am pretty impressed. At first I thought I wanted the 510, something that was smaller. I still feel the Ego is a little too big, and feels almost too heavy in my hand, compared to a real smoke anyways. That being said, I suppose that is what you get for having a better battery. The batt hasn't died on me and I have been using it a lot, and only takes about 30 min to charge, so not bad.

The vapour production is very good, its almost shocking how good it is! Taste wise, its not like a real smoke but Im ok with that. I will say the throat hit is very strong, almost TOO strong. I have a few different E liquids, and it is stronger with one kind of liquid vs another. Even a few minutes after vaping, I can still feel it in my lungs. I wouldn't have thought this would be the case, it almost reminds me of having CHEAP bargin smokes. Anyone else know what I mean?

At the moment, I am using medium nic strength, and I find that it is too much for me. I vape way more then I would usually smoke, so I need to go to a low strength my next order. At the moment, its my new toy so I use it a lot, Im sure the usage will go down in the weeks to come. I have not used it around other ppl smoking, but truthfully I dont think I would take a real cig vs my Ego. Its too bad this isnt advertised better, I think even with the 0mg of Nic this could help a lot of people quit. I think most of our problems (mine anyways) was more the visual and habit of smoking, vs the craving for nicotine.

All and all, I'm happy with my purchase.

Congrats! I don't think they will advertise more until most of the dust settles from the FDA, exploding cigar, etc. Actually, I don't know what they could say, as most benefits are NOT proven to the FDA, as common sense is evidently not a parameter.
I actually vape less than I smoked, as sometimes I just want a puff or two, where I'd feel the need to finish a full cigarette even if I didn't want to! Crazy!

Juices are all a little different, especially when you experiment with mixes of PG and VG. My daily vape is a 100% PG juice that soaks well into a Boge carto filler. At first this juice was a little harsh with more throat hit than I liked. I kept trying it and alternating with a juice that was milder. Eventually, I preferred the 100% PGT juice and the throat hit became just right. The other juice became bland. Go figure.

My daily vape now is Awesome Vapor Camel (the 100% pg juice I mentioned). If a juice is harsh in a 2.0 ohm carto, try a 2.5. If you are using a 3.7v device, try thesame atomizer at 3.4v. I have also looked at the Joytech variable voltage battery that lets you vape at 3.2v, 3.,7v, or 4.2v. I've seen them for $19.95. My next battery will probably be one of those. I like being able to change voltages and still drop the ecig in a jeans pocket.

A big thanks to the OP! I like to hear reviews from newbies. Being a newbie myself, I feel that I somehow have more of a connection with someone who doesn't have a ton of mods to compare a product to. I was also considering getting an Ego-t, but my concern was that it would feel a bit heavy in my hand. Seeing as how you said that was one of the drawbacks for you Jon, I think I'll wait. That and I am still very very satisfied with my 808 280mah batts with 510 2ohm cartos (yes, with adapter). So I'll wait a few months now before I go out and spend more money on a new setup. By then there will be new and improved kits available anyway, I'm sure.

I've been using the EGO-T since I started in July. Funny, but the weight of it has never been an issue to me. I fell for it straight away. I bought the Volt from the States first, which I believe to be an 808 and that I never liked (feels like smoking a "light" cigarette) and is still sitting in a drawer. However, in the same week I found a local supplier of the EGO-T which I managed to get hold of first and really fell for it. I've invested a lot in my EGO-T but because of the VOLT experience I've been afraid of wasting any more money on anything else as I'm sure I've spent more than I would have on analogs (half pack a day). I'm an LR atomizer user but all my latest purchases are killing me financially on both juice and battery usage......and due to the expense I am reverting back to the SR's to use them up (they come standard in kits). The Stardust has got me intrigued though but by the time I use what I've got up something else will have come out.

Don't let the weight of the EGO put you off. It's not a problem.

I used a 510 for over a year and was frustrated with dragging around pockets full of batteries and juice and a pc. I invested in an eGo-C a month ago and would never go back. Battery lasts me an entire day and I can head out for the night with a full tank and Im good until the next day. Vapor is x10. Best investment Ive made me thinks.. :vapor:
