I'm not sure if you have the older unit or a newer one. But if you have the older, then upgrade it with the IMR switch, it'll allow you to use the AW ICR 10440, which is the best 10440 battery available, it even outperforms the IMR 10440. Poor performance in mechanical mods usually comes down to two things, the battery or the contacts in need of a cleaning.

i have the new switch-the battery has the icr label on it.where can i get those aw icr batteries? and are they protected?also i heard the 306lr atties are good.can they fit on this mod or what are some good atties to get.

The only protected 10440's available are the Ultrafire/Trustfire 10440's and they are notorious for poor quality. I sell both the AW ICR 10440 and LR 306's on my site:

Just a point, do you have any way of checking if your batteries are getting a full charge? I use IMR10440's and find my P10 hits like a train with an L/R Atty or Carto! In fact it does so right through till I need to change battery. As when it does drop off it's easy to tell the difference. So much so that I think sometimes it hits better than the bigger battery mods. I know in practice this is not true but being so small it just feels it.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Hope you get it sorted.

you haven't said...have you tried cleaning it?

a pencil eraser works surprisingly well for removing corrosion from the contact points. i'd always used sandpaper, until a buddy recommended the pencil eraser. it works great, leaves it nice and shiny, and you won't eventually sand down the contact point. you also want to make sure that the threads are clean.

i will try those high drain batts before trying to trade this mod away..thanks

Go with the AW ICR 10440, it's higher drain then the high drains and will give you more umph...Use in conjunction with a LR atomizer. Also make sure your contacts are clean and where the switch physically hits the battery, put a dab of Noalox.
