So, I am almost ready to purchase our (my wife and myself) first "real" (not disposable) PV's. Plan on buying two types:

1. Definitely going to get KR808 for work. It's easy to carry and will do a decent job. Also will likely get an Elegant Easy fat batt and USB passthroughs for home use.

2. eGo vs. Riva (leaning toward Riva) for home use and maybe for car use too along with USB passthrough for this model. Which should I choose and why?

I still need help with the best buy and place to buy #2 and what mAh to go with (might get a smaller and a larger - thoughts?).

Regarding #2, I also need to find a good place with pre-filled cartos for these if they are avavilable, and I really hope they are - especially the really large ones. Any help here would be appreciated.

After looking into this for several weeks and moving from what brand (such as GS or such) to what type (KR808/Riva 510/etc) I am just about on info overload, so please forgive if I should already know the answers.

I am getting 2 types because I want us to be able to experiment and find that fit that works for us. I was goingn to spend a boatload on the named brands anyway, so why not?! Right?! lol We can decide later if we want them all or if one really hits the spot over the other - or maybe one of us likes one and the other likes the other. Who knows? Not me, but I guess we'll find out within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks in advance.

I would suggest Vocano if you want to get two different sizes. I don't know a company that sells KR808 & Riva's, but there may be one someone can suggest. Volcano's small one is a 510. Their Inferno is great for a big one, and it looks really nice. Their pieces are interchangeable, and the prices are good.

player30, I plan to get the KR808 most likely from Vapor4life along with some cartos from there and the fat batt KR808 from cigeasy. Pretty much have that side of it wrapped up for when I need something a little more discreet and just to try it out.

I do need advice on the 510 side of things. I really want it for the vapor and long-lasting vaping with it. Need help with which model and where to buy the batt and large cartos - if I can get them with cartos - it seems like everyone talks about carts with them, but I'm hoping to stay 2 piece with both sets if possible. I'll check out the Volcano.

Thanks again!

Liberty Flights has the best prices and shipping is a flat rate of $2.99http://www.liberty-flights.com/discount/liberty-flights-20.asp . Riva 510 is 750mah, eGo is 650mah. Other than that they are the same. eGo is the name brand, Riva the knockoff. I have both and use my Riva more. I got Riva in black, eGo in stainless, lol.
Any prefilled carts for a 510 will work on the Riva or eGo either one, just make sure it says 510 and you're good to go.
I had a saved link that appears to have prefilled carts though I've not used them. They are apparently out of Austin Texas and look fairly resonable ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid

welcome to ecf... i try to recommend Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. to everyone looking for good starter kits. mostly because there custimer service is amazing.. before you buy from a vender. try sending them off a email with a question on there products. then play the waiting game.. some will get back to you within 24 hrs... most within a few days... and one or maybe two will get back to you in dare i say it..... minutes...
custimer service is often over looked when searching for your first good pv don't make this mistake..
im mostly a mod guy.. but use my joye ego pt from cignot to test new flavors.. they are very helpful there and not shy about returning email. and sharing knowledge..

I Highly recommend the Bloog Maxx fusion for your 808. I know its pricey compared to other kits. But man does this thing perform. Huge amount of vapor with a long battery life.I got mine a couple days ago and all i can say is wow. And i have an ego at home mostly for dripping. Im ordering the ego-t tank and attys tomorrow. You set up will be very similar to mine. I just wish this is where i started like you. I got suckered on my first kit. Im glad to see people are doing their research unlike me

wv2win, I understand the limited choices and I'm OK with that to begin with until we get the hang of it.

I am definitely looking into the big cartos as it will make the transition to vaping that much easier and more closely match the batt life of the eGo/Riva products.

What about the higher mAh eGo/Riva's? I know they be bigger but I wouldn't mind having one of those too. Is there a limit in mAh I should stop at? 900? 1100? 1300? I'm thinking of going bigger with at least one (for each of us) of those.

As an aside...I'm so glad neither of us have to deal with Rich Rod (you don't anymore and thank goodness Rita said no to us!).

mano932, I'm having trouble finding specs on the maxx fusion, except that it is 78mm long for the standard size. Can you point me to some specs?

I almost got suckered by the named brands and a buddy on a sports-related forum turned me on to this site and probaly saved me a lot of headaches. I have been very lucky. Not smart, just lucky. trying to get smarter, though. lol

With the eGo/Riva, there are MEGA atomizers and cartomizers available. With the Mega cartomizers, you use a syringe to fill them, and they will last for hours. With the Mega atomizer, the carts for them will hold at least 70 drops of liquid, and they will also last for hours. As far as flavor, vapor, and throat hit, both are about the same. The Mega atty does tend to run on the hot side. That is, you can feel the atty heat up in your hand.
