Alright im back with another question/issue

So i have a kayfun lite, with a 1/16 OD 28g kanthol , 6/7 wraps, 1.23 ohms.... Im running on a dna 30 box mod (w/ 18650-HE2 Li-ion 3.7v 2500mah) that i got from a friend that he didnt want anymore cause he quit, and it worked perfectly for him for the 2 months he had it .... My issue is that it keeps tasting burnt after only a few hits. And when it does work well I cant go over 10w without it tasting burnt after 5/6 hits.... I want to use the 20-30w capability but i keep changing my setup and nothing is working please help

Seems like a wicking problem. Is your wick touching the walls or the channels?

nah ive double triple checked to make sure that isnt it could i not be using enough cotton? since the OD is so small i tyried not to over do it with cotton

I never had much luck running my KFL over 18w, just doesn't wick fast enough. And that's AFTER I drilled out the juice channels. 1/16 may be too small to suck enough juice to keep up with the power you want, might work better with a slightly larger diameter. And like the guy above said, your wick may just be blocking the channels.

Are you lung hitting? Maybe the airflow is too open and not enough pressure is built to wick properly.

As they say around here, "less is more with cotton"... Do you have any silica at hand? If you do you can try this build https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdXjBWf8Pc0 never had a dry hit with it, but again, I do M-to-L

+1 NickWhit -- The highest I can run my KFL+ v2 (large airflow hole) - screw removed - is 12-15 watts.

Ill look at the air flow that might be it ... What do you recomend other than the KFL? I dont want to break the bank?

It definitely sounds like a wicking problem to me. The juice isn't getting to the coils fast enough so all you taste is burnt cotton. I would try maybe more cotton I had a similar problem with one of my rdas. I just added more cotton and voila! Worked like a charm.

If you want to run 30w definitely an RDA... there are ton of great clones... I don't have much experience with them but I do like my magma a lot.

Sounds like you need a Reo. You can try Japanese cotton or Rayon - they wick faster than organic cotton. PBusardo did a vid on them on u-tube.
