Issues with toptank mini

I'm relatively new to vaping, and ive been using the kanger toptank mini with the kbox mini. After leaving my vape sitting for a while the first few hits are awful tasting and harsh, and the taste gradually gets better and the hits become more normal as I keeping hitting it. It doesn't taste like a dry hit and I dont think the coil is burning. This is especially bad if I leave my vape in a hot car, the hits are unbearably bad and harsh for the first 10-15 hits or so. When I first put a new coil in its completely normal and fine, but after a day or two of having the new coil in the issue returns. I was using kangertech .5 ohm occ coils, and now im using the mini rba kit which has improved the issue slightly but it's still bad. Im using high VG liquids at 6mg. Ive done lots of searching online but I havent found anyone with a similar issue yet.

I know this problem. It is a downer when it happens.

I found a Nano Subtank (SSOCC 0.5) yesterday hiding in the kitchen behind the kettle. I knew it was a fruity citrus mix, so put it on a mod and fired it up. Quite horrible. As you say, not dry or burning, just tasteless and nasty.

The only thing I can think of is to take a few big pulls on the tank (without firing it, maybe with the airflow closed down) and hope to get some liquid flowing before you 'hit' it.

I get it with most tanks left for too long, all coils - factory or homemade. Just gunky stuff on the coil and mushy cotton, I guess.

Thanks for the reply, i'll give that a shot and see if I notice anything different. I bet it has something to do with the coils getting gunked, after all I am using pretty thick liquid
