I have both the Terminator C (Oddysseus clone) and the Hercules (Ithaka clone) that are both made by Rainbow Heaven. They are top notch atomizers, particularly for being made to use silica wicks and being clones. From what I have read, the Rainbow Heaven clones are almost exact copies of the originals made by GG. The parts from Rainbow Heaven and the ones from GG are interchangeable. I have not used any of the originals, but I imagine they are probably a bit better in terms of quality and craftsmanship.
Anyhow, as far as rebuilding them, it was not difficult once I began using the ready wire some vendors are carrying. It is a piece of Kanthal that already has NR leads on both sides. The Ithaka and the Odysseus require the use of non-resistance wire because the positive and negative posts are so far away from the actual coil. This makes for a setup that is slightly more involved, but allows for a much better vape. These attys are not much more difficult than a dripper to set up and mine don't leak once they are set up.
The big difference between the two is the Ithaka is set up to make dual coil builds much easier. There are videos that show how to join NR wire to resistance wire out there. It is not real difficult after a few tries. I had no problem with the joining of NR and Kanthal; it was more of an issue of joining the two wires and making it small enough that it would fit inside the grooves along the sides of the ceramic. This is precisely why I would recommend using ready wire, as opposed to doing it yourself.
The taste is amazing and the vapor production is stellar. Setting either the Oddysseus or Ithaka (or their clones) is much better than trying to set up an AGA-T with SS Mesh. Another good atty to look up is the Russian 91%, which is a clone of the Kayfun Lite. It is another clone that is almost exactly like the original. It is an easier setup than a genesis and does not require the use of NR wire.
Personally, I feel that the vape from either the GG/clone atomizers and the Russian91%/Kayfun Lite is about the same. Each of them have their own quirks and differences, but at the end of the day, I love them both and could not pick a favorite.
