Hi Guys,

I started vaping about 2 months ago. My main device has been an Ego One CT. I absolutely love it and have started doing my own rewicking a few weeks ago. Flavor is good, size/convenience is great. It's the perfect device except...I can't handle how fragile the battery is any more. If I drop the thing by mistake, there's a 90% chance that the battery will stop working. I've had 2 of them conk out on me in the last 2 weeks. It's crazy and I'm almost willing to bet that it's deliberate by the company/design - either as some sort of aggressive safety measure or to generate quicker replacement sales. The tanks are great and can take quite a beating - the batteries are hopeless.

Anyways, I'll be heading to the shop tomorrow morning - the worst case scenario is I get a replacement battery or my 3rd full starter kit in under 2 months....but I'd really like to get something I can depend on a little more.

Any recommendations on similar type devices? I don't really want to go to a box mod and would prefer something about the same size/shape as the ego.

Thanks for the recommendation. Will keep my eyes open for it.

If anyone else is frustrated with the fussy EGo batteries:

I ended up picking up a basic iStick TC60W at my local shop and it's really nice so far. I can use the 2 Ego One tanks from the 2 kits I purchased in the last 2 months and can keep rewicking all the coils I have for the Ego. It has a removable battery, so it's a 10$ fix to get a new one in there, rather than 30-40 for the EGo battery or 50+$ for the full kit. I can use the same charger I used on the Ego. Turned out to be a nice fairly inexpensive way to to get up and running again with a minimum of new gear. It's a box mod but it's small enough to slip into a pocket and its shape makes it a lot less prone to getting knocked over by mistake when sitting on a table.
