So this morning I hop in the car and head to work, pull out my Joye eGo PT battery with a Joye 510 LR atomizer, and my favorite wintergreen joos.

Couple puffs into vaping, and I realize my thumb feels funny... hot.. kind of wet.. So I figure I'm leaking a little juice (I'm dripping btw)... Look at my PV, and the button on the battery is starting to melt -- it's squishy and melting plastic all over the place. I disconnected the atty and put it down immediately... but..

What the heck?!

I just got this (as a replacement for an eGo PT under 6 month warranty.. that one stopped charging.) ...2 months ago...

Any insight? Think I should bother with trying to get another replacement (L-F... they've been good to me)?

So frustrated!

I'm accustomed to the LR atties getting a bit hot when I vape heavy.. It was relatively cool at this point in time. Only sign that something was odd was the plastic button was melting onto my thumb. Not sure about it shorting -- it actually still works, believe it or not. Pushing the crazy melty button makes it glow, and if I was nuts enough to plug something onto it, I bet it would power on.

It was early morning (7am, no heat yet) -- I brought it with me to the car from my nice cool house. I can't remember anything out of the ordinary happening.

The heat/melting was coming from under the button -- it was really liquid-y and hot, kind of mushy.. the top of the button (the part that you see) only started melting-around the edges. If I had kept vaping, I might have had a really nasty mess on my hands. I'm pretty sure the melting was coming from somewhere internal -- or at least that inner button.
