I have only had my kit for a week and although I have cut down tremendously off analogs, I have noticed that in the morning with coffee or while consuming alcohol (like right now) it just is not doing the trick.... I do not want to deal with refilling, dripping, etc... I rather like the simplicity that the cartos provide... I just don't know how to get more satisfaction just with what I have.... Sorry I am a little not sober right now and am really craving a real siggie at the moment...

Don't be so hard on yourself. If you've cut down tremendously in only a week as you stated, you are doing awesome. I have had my Kr808D-1 for a few months now, and I love it too. But I haven't given up analogs completely yet either. I still smoke a couple a day.

Give yourself more time, and give yourself a pat on the back for the progress you have made. Incidentally, the morning coffee time is when I usually smoke one of my daily analogs too.

You're doing just fine. If you need a smoke from time to time don't sweat it. I still smoked cigs for the first week when I started. I bumped up my nic level after that, and that did the trick for me. You may want to consider buying some juice that has a slightly higher nic content for those moments when you are really craving a cig.

As Riverwolf implied you may want to raise your nicotine level or have few cartos with a higher level for those times when you just aren't satisfied.

I was pretty skeptical about e-cigs before I started and wasn't really thinking about it as a way to quit tobacco. I was thinking that just maybe it could be a way to cut down on those cancer sticks even if I only used them part of the time. I did start with 24 mg nic levels anyway figuring that not having nic withdrawal would help. As it turned out the only time I smoke is when I take a few cigarettes with me on the water when paddling. That first one really tastes bad. I haven't paddled for a month and haven't felt any desire for tobacco. I believe that one of the reasons it was so easy for me is the high nic levels I started with and the lack of stress about quitting. If I wanted to have a smoke I would. Still have most of a pack somewhere in the house from my last trip.

I am down to 12 mg now and will keep it that way for few more months.

I hear you! One of the most brilliant things about the new tech, specially with the 808s is that this could potentially be used as a transitional product. Took me 5 weeks to completely give up analogs -- personally, I think this was pretty fast although I've heard a lot of folks took 3 days! Regardless, even if it took you 3 months to completely give it up, or -- worst case, you needed a few analogs at social gatherings -- go for it! This is like the most low-stress approach to giving up or, at a bare minimum, reducing the amount of tar, carbon monoxide, arsenic, DEG, formaldahyde and the other 59 or chemical compounds know and proven to cause cancer, lung disease, strokes and heart failure!

That said, congrats for trying! And, quit analogs on your own time if you should so choose.

From everything I have read in my very short time with PVs, there are "heavy duty" models out there now. I have 2 DUOs which basically are the 808 (please correct me if I am wrong) and I can see why you would crave an analog. Between the hit inconsistency, the poor battery life etc..... It simply isn't for the hard core smokers. Let's see if the LEO I ordered does the trick. Supposed to be very industrial grade so no constant "fiddling" like with the smaller models.....

If you want prefilled cartos with a higher nic try these:

The best line of KR808D style cartomizers ever: WOW! The ultimate in vaping!

other people might also chime in with dealers that have better cartos and Flavors. I use lower ohm E2 r4 cartos but they more trouble.

If you are willing fill you own I can give better links for Empty cartos. You may want to try something with a lower ohm rating. That will give you more hit and smoke.

The point I was trying to make before is that even if you don't quit anologs completely you are still cutting down. So take you time and don't worry about it.

I find some fruity/foody juices make be feel like I ate and make me crave a smoke. So I don't try to use those as regular vapes. I also find the drag of carts to be more cigarette-like.

For vaping with coffee or alcohol, some people use stronger flavors to it can cut through flavorwise.

And it's important to find a flavor that hits the spot for you, one that leaves you satisfied and relaxed. If you haven't tried them, http://www.vapor4life.com/ has a lot of carto flavors (they call them carts but they are KR808D-1 cartos).

Good luck!

I started with 16 - 18 mg strength, absolutely needed to go to 24 to finally quit, for me it was critical to have higher strength for trigger times.
808 is a solid model. I prefer the XLs/Megas for run time between charges, but even the standard 808 batteries are quite decent.
PM your addy and I'll send you a few prefilled cartos, different flavors, at 24 mg -- Merry Christmas :)
