Vapor4life has a great ecig, but the carts and battery seem to be somewhat different from the standard kr808d-1 models available from other suppliers. In my opinion, they are an improvement over the standard. Also, vapor4life has videos showing your their suppliers which makes me feel better about the product as well.

Do you get your carts from them too, or do you shop around?

V4L is outstanding with their customer service - they are easy to reach, and will bend over backwards to solve problems.

I've been using their products for over two months with no problems whatsoever. I've read that their batteries are operating at a "true 3.7v", unlike generic KR8s which underperform slightly.

You can find more specific info in the welcome mat on their forum, found here:
Vapor4Life - E-Cigarette Forum

P.S. - I didn't want to refill carts at the beginning either, but their soft-tipped premium carts are so easy to fill that I've been saving a lot of money doing so, without a lot of hassle!

Thanks Stephra, customer service IS very important. Do you feel you spent less on pre-filled carts than you did on analogs? Hoping for a yes!

Well, at the beginning, no... but I was also trying all kinds of stuff. It's evened out since then and I don't feel like I'm spending as much. I suppose it also depends on how heavy you vape - that evens out in time too. Never make the mistake of assuming that what you spend the first month is what you're going to spend every month - Once you find your nicotine level and flavors, it settles down some.

I do think you can save a lot of money refilling though, and with the soft caps, it's so much easier than you'd think. Pop the cap, drip a few drops, pop the cap back on. No hassles at all! Don't rule it out for the future!

the one i posted earlier for 28 bucks is great. from that point you can get extra batteries etc from v4l.. v4l is a great place as well just pointing out I had no issues at all with the one from heaven-gifts. I got the pcc too. so you get the whole starter kit with 2 batteries a charger a pcc and a 5 pack of cartos shipped for 40 bucks. but V4l's prefilled carts are proabably way better.

How is their KR808 a good model? Are all KR808s not created equally? In making the choice of a vendor for my starter kit, should I consider warranties over cost? I would imagine all parts except the cartomizers are under warranty. Someone mentioned SmokeTip, and they have a lifetime warranty. I am leaning towards V4L at the moment but they have a a 45-day guarantee.

Now I'm noticing mAhs can vary. If it's related to battery life, what is the range of mAh that is out there?

I would advise against smoketip. I bought a kit from there before I found this forum. The cartos give off very little vapor and only go to 16mg, which was too low for me.

I think my VaporKing will arrive today! I've seen a few references to soft caps, and I would have to assume there are "hard caps' as well. What is my V4L VK, soft or hard cap? Is a soft cap preferred?

Thanks for the speedy replies!
I see that they (V4L) have a kit with "2 Extra Long (380 mAh) batteries that last 8+ hours", and other kits with the regular length batteries. Do the longer batteries last MUCH longer? I see the only downside is that there is no PCC for the longer battery. I am looking to find out how many "cigarettes worth" does a V4L cartomizer last?

I'd have to agree with what many have shared - V4L is very reliable. I got my KR808D-1's from Cigeasy (they're the same as a Vapor King) and the battery lasts approx. 6-8 hrs for me and I use it pretty consistently - good vapor production as well. I just ordered another KR808D-1 battery from V4L today(the extra long) and am anxious to start using it as well. It has been my experience that the longer batteries (at least the KR808's) DO in fact last longer and are more than worth it.

Enjoyable and different. Not having to put a cigarette out means wondering if I'm taking fewer drags? More drags? I have to perfect my primer puffs and long slow drags. I'm not consistently doing it right but it's getting better. I thought I had it down after the first cart, but now with the second cart, I am learning again. The manual pass-through is quite the vapor machine, though. :thumb:

I've pretty much decided to go with V4L too. I started with Greensmoke in January - and I'm very pleased with vaping vs regular smoking - but my overall experience with GS has been inconsistant at best. I'm going with the 24mg recommendation, thanks, and am wondering if different flavors deliver different/better throat hits? I think that's been my problem with sticking to vaping. Some carts from GS are pretty good and an equal number of carts are...really not. Any advise would be great.

take long 3sec+ drags.. basically go till you get a throat hit. you can also take longer ones by letting go of the button and then pressing it again real quick to cancel out the 3 second timeout.

try inhaling the whole pull as well.
its different then regular cigs but youll get used to it.

ya throat hits vary between juices.
