watched a couple reviews on it by Mike Vapes and Vapinfagin and I'm not impressed at all.
For a $120 tank with no top fill, ramp up time, 3ml and there's a very strong suspicion they're using tungsten covered with a ceramic (temp control you use tungsten settings).

Nope, not going to waste my money
i'm with ya... if it was $40ish I might consider it but, NOT at 120.00, that's wayyyy to much imho.

Top fill or no deal for me. Also down to the $60 range tops for price.
Top fill would make it at least a 4ml tank. I can live with that capacity. Also with the NETs I vape, you gotta change the wick every other day. This would take some getting used to, but the rewicking is doable with a little practice.

the ramp time and the price tag make this one a no go for me, add in the cons of no topfill and wicking being very wonky (SuckMyMod's review said its prone to dry hitting) and im actually scared of it. however theres the dolphin tank that looks really nice, also a re-wickable ceramic coil, which you can clean and run at closer to 70w to combat the ramp up, and is much cheaper, might be something i could buy to play with.

I get the feeling this is gonna be one of those things that your gonna have the patience to learn and adapt to or its not gonna be "your style" or "thing", it really does take some time to even get the vapor flowing.
Thanks for the detailed viewpoint after use. Also the question of the Ceramic is a concern. I'm a Flavor Chaser and doesn't seem like that would be to my liking. You've saved me some money. I will wait and see how the YIHI SX Pure appears to be once it is released. The technology sounds quite interesting on both devices but that one is a NO

Yeah, Ive spent a bunch of time with this one, got the wicking down, figured out which of my devices/settings can give on demand vapor but still have yet to get the full experience. The learning curve seems to be all over the place, dependant on user, device, juice, and making sure you wick correctly. Or maybe its just me, I gave it an honest try on 8 devices, really wanted my 109$ investment to pay off. After everything I find that given same juice, same intended vaping experience, same device, same everything I reach for one of my rta' or rda with a kanthal or SS or even n80 build first before the Altus. The reason is simple, there is more flexability (user setting wise on a vv/vw, temp control device) in a coil I built myself than the Altus. Though I will say once you get use to it and get the heating element broken in, things get better, but not 50$-100$ better.

I just got the dolphin tank by giguo? It worked well for the first day but then the ceramic stopped working. I called originvape and they said there was an ongoing issue with it and will send me the fixed replacement. Compared to the Altus, you get more vapor but I feel the flavor isn't as good. I've been using cellucotton for my altus, making sure it's thing, but not too thin. Haven't had any issues wicking and no leaking. The guy from originvape said they're going to make a top fill chimney within a month. No, you don't have to pay for a whole other unit, you just pay for the chimney!!!! Can't wait to get it.
