OK, so I have an aluminum drip-tip that is painted various colors. I am using it on a dripping rba. While ago when I went to drip some more juice, I noticed that my silica wick had turned the bright red color of the drip tip. Apparently, the color is somehow "leeching" off the drip tip and ending up on my wick. I saw a Grimm Green video once where he mentioned that his aluminum rba (painted blue) was turning his wick blue and it kind of freaked him out.

Is this a concern for safety? I am not a chemist and have no idea what sorts of paints are used and whether inhaling their "residue" is safe. Perhaps I should just stick with straight up stainless steel or plastic from now on?
