Hard to say with two batteries.

But I can say that with one battery in the FT holder (that I removed the pcb from) that it wont fire a DNA30 at 30 watts, where the Keystone will without issue. With two batteries both fire fine.

I will have to go back and look at my numbers and plug them into the ohms law calc, but it can be fairly significant.

Looking at my numbers....

With a single battery

With the FT holder at 30w (~12amps) I should see 1.12vdrop from the battery and battery holder resistance

With the Keystone holder at 30w (~12amps) I should see 0.216vdrop from the battery and battery holder resistance




With dual batteries

With the FT holder at 30w (~12amps) I should see 0.72vdrop from the battery and battery holder resistance

With the Keystone holder at 30w (~12amps) I should see 0.108vdrop from the battery and battery holder resistance

However I can't say what the resistance is on the battery holder your using.....so it might not make a big or any difference

Can I check this with a regular multi meter or do I need that tester your using to see this?

Most standard Multimeters wont measure milliohms accurately if at all.

At 128mm in length it would not work in the 1890B enclosure.

Yes, if your box can handle the length, that bat will work well.

Do what Mike said for the fuses, this is how mine is wired.

For the Batts, you wont be feeding 200a from the battery, that is just the max current it is capable of pulling if whatever was hooked up to it was demanding it. The dna board will never pull more than 7 amps no matter what battery is hooked up so make sure they can exceed that rating and your good. It does not just feed 200a out all the time.

Like mike said....most multi meters won't....some higher end ones will go to 0.01Ω which is 10mΩ

Lil update

This unit is working awesome, running at 16 watts on a 1ohm load and gets me through a full day and into the morning before the check battery comes on. Measure the voltage under load with a dmm while firing it and I get a .25 voltage loss with the above setup.

Now the kicker is back to the battery holders, I think these are not of great quality because when I check my batts last after the warning screen they where at 3.6v so why the warning since its only dropping .25 volts. Well, I think it is the holders because after fidding with the batteries while in the holders getting the 3.6v reading and realizing I shouldn't be getting the warning yet I think it is a sign that these are too high resistance holders and they are robbing me of approx .3 volts. Breaking the connection to the batteries and re seating them seams to have given me back the .3 volts I was loosing. I think this is just due to poor contacts on the battery holder and the springs in the cheap holders just loosing some conductivity as the air gets to them.

Seeing that everyone seems to be out of dna 20/30. Is there a place/site i can buy one ass3mbled. I am going to build one but the only part im missing is the dna board. I cant wait any longer as i am going on a long trip over sees for my job so i have to get one as soon as possible. Any of you guys have one for sale or know of one that is for sale. I need one bad but dont really want to spend that much. Please help thank you.
