Am I being duped?

I have been researching Vaporizers endlessly and finally chose the eGo as the one for me.
The only concern I have now is that when It came time to order I choose Altsmoke

The description mentions nowhere that it is a Riva, but some of the review do. I figured that since they where so similar that the Altsmoke started carrying Joye eGos and just used the same product number or reviews. There is no gold band, but the button is black.

What am I getting? I starting reading and now I fear I am going to receive a knockoff. Also how a Altsmoke's liquids?

The picture if of an eGo...not a Riva. What's the question? You're wondering if you're getting a real Joye eGo if you buy this? I'd say yes. Someone else will need to answer about their juice because I've never used it.

I've noticed on other site that sometimes all the review will come up, especially if that product doesn't have their own review yet. I would email them, they are very helpful.

I have both the Ego's and Rivas and that looks like an eGo all day long. Button is typical eGo button and will be translucent when you get it. It is just the pic that is making it look black. Enjoy it and enjoy the big clouds it puts out for you

The one I'm vaping right now (real eGo) has a button that looks exactly like that. It's a "smokey" translucent. It is just the angle, I think. That totally looks exactly like a real eGo. It's definitely NOT a Riva.

It looks like a real eGo to me. My eGo battery buttons aren't completely clear either, so it could just be the way the light is angled when they took the picture of the set.

Looks like a standard 2 complete ego kit to me. The buttons appear black in the photo, but they are indeed clear plastic and light up whitish-blue-grey when pressed. I don't know what the little black plastic clip looking thingys are though.

I think the little clip goes over the button. I have them too but couldn't figure out what you're supposed to do with them.

2nd witness. Yes the button looks just like my genuine eGo I purchased from LiteCigUSA.net. I'd say that is genuine as well. It is translucent and looks black when not lit up.

Those little black plastic clip things are button protectors so they don't accidentally get pressed if you put 'em in your pocket or wherever you store 'em. I have some and I think they're pretty cool for a couple of extra bucks.

I think the reviews that are being used are old ones. I was trying to hook-up a co-worker w/ an eGo back in Nov., and she had found this site. They were advertising them as eGo, but the picture was definitely a Riva. I don't remember the price, but it was higher than what this is going for.

This seems like a great community, one reason i went for this kit is so that i have a spare to tinker with. I am already planning out a 14500 or 18650 mod with a flashlight tube. I will definitely take thorough pictures and contribute back to you guys.

That's a nice looking kit. I know AltSmoke - they are often recommended for adapters?

Get some liquid with your starter kit no matter how crappy the liquid is. That way you will have liquid while you order more from other places (I love buying juice)

Their ALtJuice is 50/50 which may not be your final preference for PG/VG but should be fine to start with (although TH may be a bit lacking versus some more popular ratios like 70pg/30vg and 80pg/20vg). And they have some reviews on their juices on-site so read them. Should be fine juice to start with, decently priced, and probably nicer than the Dekang 100% PG many mainly-hardware vendors sell. Get 20-30ml, maybe more if you plan to vape heavily or constantly.

And grats on your soon-to-be first kit!

Do you know what nicotine you might need? Typically
full strength cigs -> 24mg and some need 30+
light cigs -> 16-18mg and some need 24
ultralights -> 10-12mg and some need 16-18
