FA Desert Ship, I am pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out....
5% was weak, so I decided to go to 7%, It tasted like throw up, I couldnt believe the taste, it smelled really good, and I thought I had it....

But, I am wondering if some EM would help, I had a couple of failures in a jar, I was gonna use it cause I dont like throwing anything away, this one tasted like poop and throw up, prolly a little better then 12ml, so I said what the heck and slapped in a ml of EM, and it tastes completely different, pretty good actually, so I am thinking maybe .5-1% EM in the mix?????

I love Desert Ship! It is very good, but it must age! The flavor changes a lot with time. It starts off a little offensive, then weak, then about 2 weeks in, gets more pronounced and pleasant.

2 quick recipes that I use all the time:

#1, closest to Casablanca I've tried (can't remember the original poster of it though, not my recipe but my wife can't really tell the difference between this and Casa)
FA desert ship 5%
FA Cocoa 3%
ACV 1%

and my variation of Desert Peach:
FA desert ship 3%
TFA juicy peach 10%
TFA vanilla swirl 2%

Awesome, I've really been liking it a 2% but now I'll have to try it at 5%. Desert Peach sounds really good also. Thanks for posting!

I tried with FA DS and Hangsen cocoa but it didn't work out so well, I will snag some FA cocoa.....

When you guys mix say, 5% FA DS, is the mix still clear??? Mine stays clear, no matter how long it sits, no matter how long in CP, or UC....

Just curious, I figured it should be a little color to it...

That seems odd to me 'cause my 2% is a light amber, about like a light beer.

Last night I mixed up 5% FADS and 6% Hangsen Cocoa, it is just a tad tan today, it spent 4.5 hours in a crock pot, then I uncapped from 7:45 last night to 3:00 AM this morning, and it actually tastes pretty good.
Heres a shot of what it looks like right now, when I first made it, it was clear like water.......

It's almost fully clear when fresh, but I can tell when it's at its best since it turns into a nice amber-rose color when steeped for a few weeks.
