Am I Crazy ?

I am 43 yrs old and new to disability due to the after effects of an aneurysm. Am I crazy to think I can get a bargain on the ECF Classifieds ? I have always used classifieds to get a deal on things I may not be able to afford otherwise, but it seems on here these ecigs and mods hold better value than a Cadilac. For example, someone buys a Provari in April by December that same person buys a Darwin and posts the Provari in the classifieds for $165. In my mind if I pay that, I just as well pay $4 more dollars and buy a new one. I would really like to know why a used Provari is damn near the same price as a new one? I know it's a fantastic piece of hardware but if it's a year old, I just don't see it. Nearly all the mods sold in the classifieds are being sold for nearly the same price as new. I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering why.

I've heard this expressed by others -- you are not alone.

The classified section allows for a free market (including some fraud protections) for the buyer and seller.

It's up to the participants to do their due diligence. People are what they are.

A lot of classifieds are also OBO. Don't be afraid to PM an offer lower than posted price, particularly if something has sat for a day. No need to be negative to the seller, but a simple "Would you be willing to accept..." PM does no harm.

Also, a fair number of mods do hold their value, people are willing to pay the asked price. You may not think something is worth X, but if another person is willing to pay that, then it is.

ProVari's hold their value because they are just excellent quality mods plus if you order from ProVape, you have a 2 week waiting period. Most people don't want to wait.

Darwin's are hard to get your hands on so to re-sell them, you can get back out what you put into it.

As for most mods, re-sellers in the classies usually don't charge extra for shipping...so that's another savings right there.

And yes, I would rather have a mod than drive a Cadillac.
